This week’s issue of Famitsu has another sizable update on Monster Hunter Stories. The magazine’s latest coverage provides new information on felyne characters, Otomon (including a new system), and new areas.

Just like last time, the official Monster Hunter Stories website has been updated as well. Screenshots from the updated pages are below.

Five original felynes are shown in Famitsu. Unlike the normal felynes in Girudekaran, they are unique just like Navirou. However, there is a reason for their unique appearances, which is not yet known.

None of the felynes are named thus far. But from the left they are:

– Blue – An intellect with a hot heart and cool breath
– Green – Has extraordinary sights
– Red – The leader who’s hot-blooded, manly and cares for his friends
– Pink – Pert fellow and does things on his own pace
– Yellow – Can make her body flash at her own will

Famitsu has a big update on Monster Hunter Stories this week. The magazine reveals new characters, areas, details on equipment, and more.

Some of this information has now been reflected on the official website as well. Here are a bunch of screenshots based on the coverage:

The first page of Famitsu’s article goes over the hunter Rivelt and his felyne Popola. He is voiced by Sugita Tomokazu.

Rivelt may look lazy normally, but when he goes out to hunt, his sharp observation eyes and experience always gain him results. He likes to act alone, and is considered to be an aloof hunter by people around him.

This week’s issue of Famitsu has a recap of Level-5 Vision 2016 as well as an interview with Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino. Among the games discussed was Megaton Musashi, which appears to be on track for Nintendo platforms.

Here’s what’s leaked out of Famitsu thus far, courtesy of Siliconera:

– Going all-out with robots
– Has a world setting that will resonate with the generation of older folks
– Yamato Ichidaiji is the protagonist
– Will see it in the perspective of characters other than Yamato
– Level-5 wants to focus on showing the cool factor of robots in Megaton Musashi, along with the “awesome action that takes place inside the cockpit” where you’ll see characters shouting out special attack names and pulling levers
– We’ve seen a toy resembling Musashi’s cockpit, but Hino hopes to have something that resembles something that connects to the game like what we saw in Steel Battalion on Xbox
– Level-5 still deciding on supporting hardware
– Level-5 is thinking about 3DS developments for now
– Given how Megaton Musashi’s production revolves around giant robots and anime, they’re considering high-spec consoles that will allow you to fully enjoy such contents
– Hino wants players to play on screens that are as large as possible if they can
