Yacht Club Games looking to start work on new game this year
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 7 Comments
In its young history, Yacht Club Games has only made one game thus far. The studio has continued to work on Shovel Knight since its release in 2014 with a bunch of brand new content.
Shovel Knight still has some new things to offer this year, but it sounds like Yacht Club Games is starting to think about moving on. In a tweet published on the developer’s page, it states that the team hopes “to start work on a new project in 2017”.
Q:Will you ever make a new game?
A:If you want something new outside of Shovel Knight…we have vowed to start work on a new project in 2017!— Yacht Club Games (@YachtClubGames) January 14, 2017

The Next Penelope cancelled for Wii U, dev looking into feasibility of Switch version
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch, Wii U eShop | 10 Comments
The Next Penelope originally came out in 2015. A Wii U version was planned, but creator Aurélien Regard has since confirmed that it’s been cancelled on the console.
The one bright spot here is that Regard is looking into whether a port on Switch will be possible. It also sounds like he’s hoping to bring his next game to the new system since Unity is supported, which is what the project is built on.
Continue on below for Regard’s full comments on the situation.
