Flying Hamster II Kickstarter opening next week, will have Wii U/3DS stretch goals
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Game Atelier intends to launch a Kickstarter next week for Flying Hamster II. Nintendo fans will be pleased to hear that stretch goals will include Wii U and 3DS versions. Additionally, if funding reaches a certain amount, the game will include local two-player co-op.
Flying Hamster II features side-scrolling, action RPG gameplay. That’s a change from the first title – originally released back in 2010 – which was a horizontal shooter.
Flying Hamster II’s Kickstarter will go live on April 4. The project itself will be completed in mid-2015.

Hover: Revolt of Gamers in the works for Wii U
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 5 Comments
Within the past few days, news has surfaced that Fusty Game intends to bring Hover: Revolt of Gamers to Wii U. It’s a free-runner set in an impressive-looking futuristic open world.
In the game, you’ll play as a “Gamer Team” from another world while trying to locate and infiltrate control centers of the anti-video games propaganda, free citizens confined by the authorities, retrieve consoles confiscated from the population, and dethrone the new mayor who has enacted a dictatorship.
We recently caught up with Fusty Game to learn more about Hover: Revolt of Gamers, and were presented with a few words from developer Marine Baron.
When asked about bringing Hover to Nintendo’s console, Baron said that the team of three at Fusty Game “really like[s] the Wii U and we want to support it.” Contact hasn’t been made with Nintendo just yet.
For those wondering, Fusty Game does intend to take advantage of the Wii U controller. Baron said the device is “interesting for our game” and the team has “some ideas on how to use the GamePad.”
And some good news for Wii U owners: Hover will come with the same features on Nintendo’s platform as the other versions – PC, PS4, and Xbox One – including a multiplayer mode that allows players to cooperate with others in missions and experience configurable versus events.
Hover: Revolt of Gamers looks good. Pretty darn good, especially for such a small team. How is Fusty mangaging to produce this kind of project? “Our secret is many working hours (80 hours/week) and to be ambitious,” Baron told us. “There is no magic.”
Development on Hover: Revolt of Gamers is only just beginning, so there’s sadly no word yet on when the game will be available. We’re told that a Kickstarter campaign will launch soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Vblank’s next game is a possibility for 3DS
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 1 Comment
Retro City Rampage developer Vblank Entertainment may bring its next game to 3DS. It’s all dependent on CPU/GPU requirements, founder Brian Provinciano said on Twitter.
Regarding the new game, Provinciano said the following:
@YouOldSoAndSo probably not, but likely Steam, PS4/Vita and possibly 3DS depending on the CPU/GPU requirements.
— Retro City Rampage (@RetroCR) March 25, 2014
@Vactro Undecided. I need to take care of back/neck issues before I jump into the next game. That's my priority right now.
— Retro City Rampage (@RetroCR) March 25, 2014
@KamikazeKane719 Lots of ideas for new games but not sure which I'll go with yet.
— Retro City Rampage (@RetroCR) March 25, 2014
@okray90 No plans for a direct sequel but I do have lots of ideas.
— Retro City Rampage (@RetroCR) March 25, 2014
And about that upcoming update for Retro City Rampage: DX:
@signzzed Waiting on feedback from the upcoming update to see. Hopefully it'll be out soon. Was submitted 3 weeks ago.
— Retro City Rampage (@RetroCR) March 25, 2014
Last but not least, Provinciano confirmed once again that Retro City Rampage is not planned for Wii U:
@XFsWorld unfortunately no, since you can already buy and play the WiiWare version in Wii Mode, it's not worth the additional time/cost.
