Inti Creates

Inti Creates made two announcements last week. The first is that the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack is coming to Switch, while Mighty Gunvolt Burst is in the works for both Switch and 3DS.

USgamer spoke with Inti Creates CEO Takuya Aizu following the news. For Azure Striker Gunvolt, Aizu spoke about how the Striker Pack came to be on Switch and confirmed that they’re trying to release a physical version in the west. Aizu also confirmed that Mighty Gunvolt Burst will be adding more characters and spoke about how Mighty No. 9 isn’t a direct influence on the game.

Read up on these comments from Aizu below. You can find USgamer’s full piece here.

Mighty Gunvolt Burst

The first pure gameplay from Mighty Gunvolt Burst was just shown on a BitSummit 2017 live stream. We’ve gone ahead and posted the recording below.

Inti Creates released the first trailer for Mighty Gunvolt Burst on 3DS. Have a look at the video below.

Over on the Inti Creates blog, a ton of details are provided about Mighty Gunvolt Burst. Head past the break for the full rundown.

Update: Added in additional details and trailer below from the Inti Creates blog. This will be a worldwide release on August 31.

Original: Aside from Mighty Gunvolt Burst, Inti Creates is revealing a second brand new Switch release at BitSummit. Today, the company announced Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, another title (or should we say titles?) for Switch.

Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack may sound familiar as it originally came out on 3DS last year. This was a retail package that featured both Azure Striker Gunvolt games.

On Switch, the two Azure Striker Gunvolt games are once again included. Striker Pack will feature HD Rumble, new music, and DLC from the 3DS release this time around.

Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack launches in Japan on August 31. We’ll update this post when we have additional information, which should be very soon.

Nintendo’s Japanese blog has dated two major indie games for Switch. Mighty Gunvolt Burst, which we just found out about this week, is up first on June 15. De Mambo will follow on June 29. Dates aren’t confirmed for the west yet, but they should be available at around the same time.

Other Switch eShop games are also lined up for the summer. These include Overcooked: Special Edition, Gonner, and Levels – Addictive Puzzle Game.

Inti Creates is announcing two new Switch games this weekend at BitSummit. Thanks to the latest issue of Famitsu, one of these is already known. Inti Creates is readying Mighty Gunvolt Burst not only for Switch, but 3DS as well.

Mighty Gunvolt Burst builds on the original 3DS eShop game with new features like a character growth system. Also included is a new Burst Combo that adds a bonus score when taking down adjacent enemies.

Two playable characters are included: Beck and Gunvolt. The Switch version will offer HD Rumble with item dowsing.

Mighty Gunvolt Burst will be sold as a digital title in the future. No release date has been announced thus far.

Inti Creates made it known last month that the company would be announcing two new games at BitSummit. We now have confirmation that both projects will be on Nintendo platforms, and more specifically, on Switch. Inti Creates CEO Takuya Aizu confirmed the news during a lecture at Tokyo Sandbox 2017.

BitSummit will take place on May 20 and May 21 at the Miyako Messe in Kyoto. Along with Inti Creates’ games, other indie titles will be showcased as well.

Blaster Master Zero introduced a new update last week. With the addition of the EX Character Mode stemming from version 1.2, Inti Creates is letting players experience the game with brand new characters. Each one will have new abilities and weapons.

Gunvolt from the Azure Striker Gunvolt series is the first character to be made available. He’ll be free until May 17. After that, you’ll need to fork over $2 for the character.

If you’ve yet to purchase Blaster Master Zero on Switch, you can obtain the DLC regardless. Simply visit the game’s eShop listing and scroll down to the “Downloadable Content” area. Select “EX Character Gunvolt”, and then the “Free Download” button. That’s it! Then if you decide to pick up Blaster Master Zero later on, Gunvolt will be available.

Inti Creates confirmed earlier today that Blaster Master Zero has sold 80,000 copies on Switch. As it turns out, other sales data was shared as well.

Azure Striker Gunvolt, Inti Creates’ first game for 3DS, has sold 180,000 copies. The company also confirmed the sales of the sequel are at 38,000 units. Both of these figures are based on worldwide sales on the eShop as of May 1.

At a recent event in Tokyo, Inti Creates shared some info on the sales and development process on Blaster Master Zero. The Switch version of the game was in development for six months (alongside the 3DS version) and the development team consisted of 35 people. To date, the Switch version has been downloaded 80,000 times.

While this may not sound all that impressive, given that Inti Creates were willing to publicly share this number, they must be satisfied with the game’s sales so far.
