During NHK’s Dragon Quest 30th anniversary special program, some footage of Dragon Quest XI footage. We get a brief look at the 3DS version as well as the PS4 (and possibly Switch) release. Watch the clip below.

Fire Emblem Music Collection: Piano – Faith & Engagement – CD & concert coming to Japan

A new Fire Emblem CD featuring music from the series is coming to Japan. Called “Fire Emblem Music Collection: Piano – Faith & Engagement -“, the CD will feature, as the name suggests, piano rearrangements of various tracks from the whole Fire Emblem series. All of these arrangements were performed and composed by KEIKO.
Below is the track list of the CD, including which game the track originated from:
- Battle Map 1 – Player Attack Phase (FE: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light)
- The Path to You (FE: Fates)
- Distant Utopia (FE: The Binding Blade)
- Victory is Near (FE: Path of Radiance)
- World Map – Chapter 3 (Liberation Battle – Each Road) (FE: Gaiden)

- Father’s Back (FE: Path of Radiance)
- Seliph’s Theme / Thoughts Going Around (FE: Genealogy of the Holy War)

- Legend of the Divine Dragon (A) (FE: Mystery of the Emblem)

The album will be released on February 22nd for the price of 3200 Yen.
Additionally, two live performances of the CD will be held on March 12th at the Science Museum Science Hall in Tokyo.

Famitsu’s final issue of 2016 features another big report on The Alliance Alive. This week’s information batch covers various aspects about the game, including weapons, magic, and plenty more.
Our translation of Famitsu’s report is as follows:
The Ark Ship Brionac
The only ark ship in this universe that can go through the Black Current to travel between worlds. Created by an unknown civilization, many features are included. This will become the player’s moving base after it’s obtained, allowing for destinations to be chosen as well as form the party. Famitsu notes that Brionac’s bridge looks like a shrine, and each character will have their own personal room.

Version 3.0 announced for Yo-kai Watch 3

Level-5 is working on the next big update for Yo-kai Watch 3. The company has now announced version 3.0 for the game. Details are light at the moment, but new versions of the Enma Daiou Yo-kai are confirmed.
Special – Taiyoushin Enma (Sushi)
Superb – Jikuushin Enma (Tempura)
Special Selection – Ankokushin Enma (Sukiyaki)
That’s literally all we know at the moment. Further information will be shared in 2017.

Japanese 3DS themes (12/28/16)

Several new 3DS themes are out now in Japan. Here’s the lineup:
Pokemon (x2) – 200 yen each
Kunio-kun – 100 yen
Dragon Ball Super – 200 yen
Gurumin 3D – 200 yen

Japan’s hands-on Switch events will last for seven hours on both days

In the Famitsu scans we posted earlier today, one of the images was an ad for the upcoming hands-on Switch event in Japan. Fans will be able to stop by on January 14 and January 15 to try out the new system at Tokyo Big Sight. Nintendo is even planning on hosting special music performances.
The ad confirms that on both days, the experience will last for seven hours. It will be held between 10 AM and 5 PM, though new visitors won’t be accepted after 4 PM.
