Pokemon X

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y’s online features will be affected by a short maintenance period today. Between 7 PM and 9 PM ET, online play, rankings, and other aspects may be unavailable. The maintenance window won’t be too long, but players should be aware of the downtime in any case.

A second patch for Pokemon X/Y is now available. Players can bring their game to version 1.2 with the newest update.

As for what the patch entails, the patch notes mention the following:

– Fixes an occasional bug causing Pokémon not to learn new moves after evolving through Wonder Trade.
– Fixes an occasional bug where certain captions for Trainer PR Videos were not unlocked in Lumiose City.
– Updates an Internet communication issue.
– Includes previous update (Ver. 1.1)

Nintendo released Pokemon X/Y’s first patch in October. That one corrected a game-breaking save bug found within Lumiose City.

Consumers in Japan can now purchase a set of playing cards based on Pokemon X/Y. The deck features creatures such as Xerneas, Yveltal, and final forms of the starter Pokemon. Pricing is set at 525 yen.

Nintendo has confirmed a pair of Pokemon X/Y 2DS bundles for North America.

Starting on December 6, consumers will be able to purchase a red system with a pre-installed copy of Pokemon X at Target. Toys”R”Us will be offering a blue system with Pokemon Y.

Pricing is set at $149.99 each. Bundles will be sold while supplies last.

Some European retailers have already started selling the two Pokemon X/Y 2DS bundles. Kind of interesting how Nintendo still hasn’t said a peep about these packages!

Those who purchase Pokemon X/Y at Walmart will receive one of two serial codes. Buy Pokemon X and you’ll receive Garchomp. Scizor comes with Pokemon X. The promotion lasts until June 30.

A new online exploit has been created for online Pokemon X/Y battles known as the “Battle Analyser”. The tool is able to intercept data, allowing the user to view all of their opponent’s creatures and moves. While it hasn’t been perfected yet, the exploit still provides a significant advantage.

As for how the program works, a PC is used as a wireless hotspot. This allows online data to be captured, which ultimately reduces the strategy involved with battles and makes the playing field uneven.

Nintendo has released a new infographic highlighting impressive stats about Pokemon X/Y. You can find it above.
