Another set of Pokemon-themed Funko Pops are in the works. The latest additions include Pikachu (Attack Stance), Meowth, Psyduck, and Metallic Silver Bulbasaur.

Metallic Silver Bulbasaur, Meowth, and Psyduck should arrive on April 14. Pikachu (Attack Stance) will follow a bit later on June 9.

GameStop is currently taking pre-orders for these new figures here.

News regarding Pokemon’s 25th anniversary continues, as The Pokemon Company has passed along an announcement detailing various plans it has in store for the franchise’s big milestone. It covers the P25 Music partnership with UMG involving Katy Perry and other big names, merchandise, and more.

An official website for the milestone has also opened, accessible here. It teases collaborations with musicians like Katy Perry, collectibles that will be unveiled later, and more.

Pokemon 25th anniversary

2021 is expected to be a big year for Pokemon with the franchise turning 25 years old. The original games debuted on February 27, 1996 in Japan.

We don’t know the full extent of the celebration plans just yet, but things are kicking off with a special “25 Years of Memories” video that’s just been published today. You can check it out below.

A new piece of Pokemon merchandise is on the way, and it looks pretty incredible.

Gengar fans will be happy to hear about the newest Bandai-P product. The company is coming out with a cushion featuring a roll out blanket tongue. The dimensions are H48×W55×D53 cm with the tongue at roughly 170cm long.

Pricing for the cushion is set at 25,950 yen, or about $250. It should ship in June 2021.

Funko Pops

The latest wave of Pokemon Funko Pop figures have been revealed. Mew, Raichu, Ponyta, and silver Pikachu are currently in the pipeline. Availability will offer by retailer, but some listings have pointed to a February / March 2021 release.

Pokemon 25th anniversary

Pikachu was featured at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade today, marking twenty consecutive years that Pokemon has been represented there. During the short segment, the series’ 25th anniversary logo was revealed. News regarding the big milestone and “very special upcoming celebration” will be shared soon.

As far as new game releases go, we do at least know that New Pokemon Snap and a sequel to Detective Pikachu are on the way. It remains to be seen what else is in store, but hopefully we’ll be hearing more towards the beginning of 2021.

When you think of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, at this point, Pikachu is one of the first things that has to come to mind. The Pokemon rep has been a staple of the show for the past couple of decades. Unsurprisingly, the tradition continues in 2020.

Pikachu will be featured when the parade is held in New York City on Thursday, November 26. The Pokemon Company says “a troupe of dancing Pikachu will deliver an electrifying performance in the parade in addition to the iconic giant Pikachu balloon soaring among the skyscrapers of Manhattan.” Also teased, “Pokemon fans will want to tune in to find out why they’re making a special appearance this year.”

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade can be seen on NBC and Telemundo from 9 AM to 12 PM in all time zones.
