Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You adds more theatrical screening dates in the US

Overwhelming fan demand, high ticket sales and sold-out auditoriums across the US has prompted additional screenings of Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You. The film will now be shown on November 11 and 14 in addition to the original November 5 and 6 dates.
Tickets can be purchased on Fathom Events here. Note that the Pokemon TCG card featuring Ash’s Pikachu wearing its Trainer’s hat and a QR Code that unlocks an in-game event and Ash’s Pikachu wearing its Trainer’s hat in Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon will not be offered for the November 11 and 14 screenings.

Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You to appear on Disney XD on November 25

Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You will be showing up in theaters in November. Later in the month, the film will appear on TV. Disney XD has confirmed an air date of November 25. It’ll be shown at 10 AM ET.
Disney XD has also confirmed that two new episodes of Pokemon the Series: Sun and Moon will debut right before the movie. These will feature the return of Brock and Misty.
Pokémon badges gained in Nintendo Badge Arcade can now be used in Swapdoodle

Swapdoodle has allowed players to use Nintendo Badge Arcade badges within the software, with some exceptions – namely, Pokémon badges. As of a recent update, however, players can now use the Pokémon badges they earned in Nintendo Badge Arcade in Swapdoodle.

Detective Pikachu movie expected to start filming in January 2018

A film based on Detective Pikachu was announced last year. The project has gone somewhat dark this year, but it looks like things are about to pick up in just a few months.
Omega Underground spotted a product listing showing that Detective Pikachu will be filming in London, UK on January 15, 2018. A short blurb says that it’s a film involving “a new character and storyline in the Pokemon universe.”
Rob Letterman (Goosebumps, Monsters Vs. Aliens, and Shark Tale) will be directing Detective Pikachu. Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch are working on the script.
Vulpix joins Build-A-Bear

New Pokemon episode has a couple of homages to the original games

The latest Pokemon episode was a landmark of sorts. After many years, Brock and Misty were brought back and were featured prominently. While that in itself was great news, the show also had a treat for longtime Pokemon players.
Fans noticed a pair of homages in the episode that are tributes to the original Pokemon games. Brock and Misty both had their poses from the titles on Game Boy, as pictured in this post.

Meowth gets the Build-A-Bear treatment

A number of Pokemon plushies have been offered at Build-A-Bear over the past couple of years. The store has previously offered Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, and Squirtle. The latest one? Meowth.
Fans can purchase Meowth at Build-A-Bear starting today. For the $60 online bundle, you’ll receive the plush, a sound chip, and two costumes. A $28 Meowth and one outfit by themselves will also be sold in stores.
Note that the Team Rocket hoodie won’t be sold in stores at any point. A Quick Ball-styled hoodie will be sold at retail outlets for $12.50 both online and at the physical Workshop locations.

Japan also getting Pikachu New 2DS XL Edition

Nintendo revealed the Poke Ball-themed New 2DS XL during today’s Nintendo Direct. But in Japan, they’re getting an additional Pokemon system. The Pikachu New 2DS XL Edition launches in the country on November 17.
