The latest issue of Famitsu has shared a listing of the top 30 best-selling games in Japan for the month of May 2015. You can check out the full results below.

Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale sold through 59% of its initial Japanese shipment

Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale was the best-selling game in Japan for the week of June 15. In Media Create‘s latest report, the sales tracker shares more information about the game’s performance.
Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale managed to sell 46,000 copies in its first week. With that, it sold through 58.99 percent of its initial shipment.
When compared to previous Harvest Moon (Bokuj? Monogatari) games on 3DS, the first week sell-through was lower and the game got off to a slow start. Harvest Moon: A New Beginning had a 74.23 percent sell-through rate and sold 81,000 copies in its first week in 2012 while Story of Seasons had a 73.07 percent sell-through rate with 131,000 copies sold in its first week in 2014. As Return to PopoloCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale is strongly derived from the PopoloCrois series, it can be said that the game hasn’t brought in many Harvest Moon fans yet.

Azure Striker Gunvolt crosses 120,000 downloads

During a session at Too Many Games, Inti Creates announced that Azure Striker Gunvolt has seen over 120,000 downloads. The most recent milestone of 110,000 downloads was confirmed in late April.
Inti Creates also said that the company currently consists of roughly 100 staffers. The Azure Striker Gunvolt team is made up of about 40 people.

Update: Bumped to the top. We have the official announcement from Nintendo with a breakdown of sales in each region. That’s posted after the break.
Splatoon has sold one million copies, Nintendo has announced. That figure accounts for units moved in all territories, including North America, Europe, and Japan.
Nintendo also prepared a new Japanese commercial for Splatoon today. You can watch that below.

Rhythm Heaven: The Best Plus sold through 82% of its initial shipment in Japan

Rhythm Heaven: The Best Plus was the best-selling game in Japan during the week of June 8. It moved 158,000 copies, and Media Create reveals that it sold through 81.56 percent of its initial shipment.
The Japanese sales tracker offers up a couple of reasons for Rhythm Heaven 3DS’s success. Commercials probably helped things, and because it’s a compilation of the series’ previous installments, dedicated fans held it in high demand.
3DS hardware as a whole – including the new Pearl White color – sold 26,000 units. This was an increase of 44.05 percent. While many individual hardware have been on the decline since last week, 3DS has driven the hardware market to an increase compared to last week, just like the sales of software increased from last week.
