Splatoon 2: Clash Blaster Neo being added to the game soon

It’s the end of the week, which means another weapon addition to Splatoon 2. This time, it’s the Clash Blaster Neo, which is identical to the regular Clash Blaster in terms of stats, but comes with the Curling Bomb sub-weapon and the Tenta Missiles special instead. It’ll be available tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later tonight in North America.

This weekend, a new Splatfest for Splatoon 2 will be held in North America. The topic has baseball and soccer fans competing against each other. Nintendo has some new art for the Splatfest, which we’ve attached above.

Watch the Splatoon 2 and ARMS GDC 2018 presentations

Back at GDC, Kosuke Yabuki and Hisashi Nogami delivered presentations on their Switch games. The two were the producers of ARMS and Splatoon 2 respectively.
The official GDC organizers now have both presentations online. You can watch the ARMS event below and the Splatoon 2 one here.

Splatoon Twitter account reaches 1 million followers, sends out special piece of artwork

The official Japanese Splatoon Twitter account has reached an important milestone: 1 million followers on Twitter. To celebrate, they sent out the special piece of artwork you see above.
It’s not exactly breaking news that Splatoon is popular in Japan, but this is another example of it. Especially if you consider that the official Japanese Nintendo Twitter account “only” has 968,000 followers.

Splatoon 2 and ARMS devs on developing their games and GDC presentations

Two of Nintendo’s developers attended GDC 2018 to deliver presentations about their Switch games. Hisashi Nogami and Kosuke Yabuki, the producers of Splatoon 2 and ARMS respectively, were both on hand.
