Square Enix released a new video on SaGa Scarlet Grace today. This developer interview shows off some gameplay from the Switch version in handheld mode in addition to revealing some technical details about the game (thanks to Gematsu for the translation). The Switch version will run at 1080p in docked mode and 720p in handheld mode. In both modes, it will have a max frame rate of 60 fps. The Switch version will use higher resolution textures compared to the mobile version of the game which is also coming out. Unlike the mobile versions, it will also have a opening movie and supports controller vibration.

SaGa Scarlet Grace

A wave of SaGa Scarlet Grace details have leaked out of this week’s issue of Famitsu. The magazine has more information on what’s new, including elements that can be brought over to additional playthroughs.

Here’s the full rundown:

Last week, Square Enix unveiled the final two characters for Octopath Traveler along with a few more gameplay systems. The company has since shared even more information.

One of the latest characters, Cyrus Olbright is 30 years old and is a pursuer of wisdom. He’s a scholar who works at a royal academy in Flatland, a region with vast and lush plains. Despite having well-featured looks who receives passionate stares from academy students, he only focuses on books and mysteries.

Octopath Traveler - Ophilia

An English version of today’s new Octopath Traveler trailer is now available below. We’re introduced to Cyrus and Ophilia, more battle talents, and the party system.

Square Enix has released the “May overview” trailer for Octopath Traveler. Like the trailer they released last month, this one also introduces new characters, classes and gameplay features. The game’s official website has also been updated.

Most importantly, it introduces the final two playable characters – Ophilia and Cyrus. Cyrus is a scholar working at the royal university. An incredibly curious and knowledgable person, his Path Action is “Explore”. This lets him find out hidden details and information about other characters. During combat, he can reveal the weaknesses of enemies and exploit them using fire, ice and lightning magic.

So there are two little bonuses you can get by meeting certain criteria in the first game and having that save data on Switch, both methods and prizes are listed below.

By using the dresser item you will be able to change the character’s hair to the original game’s protagonist’s hair.

Square Enix hosted a live stream earlier today where it shared the latest details and footage for Dragon Quest Builders 2. Among this, we have news about the bonuses players will receive for having data from the first game. Continue on below for the live stream recording and information.

The Octopath Traveler Original Soundtrack contains over 80 songs spread across four CDs. It’ll be out alongside the game on July 13.
