Nintendo has set a release date for The World Ends with You: Final Remix in the west. North America and Europe are both getting the game on October 12.

Previously, Square Enix announced a release date of September 27 for Japan.

Octopath Traveler

Square Enix held its own conference for financial results earnings earlier today. The company had quite a bit to say about the performance of Octopath Traveler.

The new Switch RPG had sales stronger than Square Enix’s pre-sales forecast. Moreover, it exceeded expectations especially in the United States and Europe. The game also saw higher-than-average ratio of download version vs. packaged.

Square Enix provided a new wave of details and screenshots for The World Ends with You: Final Remix today. We have the latest on new pins, music, and more. Find the full breakdown below, courtesy of Gematsu.

Octopath Traveler launched on Switch two weeks ago. Since the game has been out for a little while now, we want to hear about your impressions.

Recently, our very own Oni Dino made his own path to the Square Enix Café in Tokyo to see the Octopath Traveler experience they are currently hosting. He returned after gaining much knowledge, experience and photos and decided to share his tale with all of you!

I was lucky enough to gain Oni’s blessing on sharing some of the pictures and my thoughts on them. Please enjoy and make sure to read all about the adventure, the full menu, and pictures over here.

Octopath Traveler

As we know, Octopath Traveler is supply-constrained in Japan after selling out. Square Enix issued an apology last weekend, and advised Switch owners to consider the game’s digital version on the eShop for the time being.

Given Octopath Traveler’s scarcity, it’s unsurprising to see that almost all of the first round of copies have been sold. Dengeki reports that the title sold through 90% of its initial shipment.

During a three-day period, Octopath Traveler sold 110,000 units. With digital copies, perhaps that number could be closer to 150,000.

Located in Tokyo’s nerd Mecca, Akihabara, the Square Enix Café features a rotating menu and a variety of changing themes. This time around, from June 30 to August 10, the Switch exclusive Octopath Traveler is heavily featured with all sorts of limited edition merchandise, food and drinks inspired by the game, decorations and art. I visited the café in order to get first-hand impressions to share with our readers.
