Square Enix set a final release date for Dragon Quest X Offline at the Tokyo Game Show today. The game will be available for Switch in Japan on February 26, 2022, the company announced.

A new Square Enix sale has kicked off on the Switch eShop sale in celebration of TGS 2021. It includes one of the first sales for NEO: The World Ends with You, classic Final Fantasy games, Mana, and more.

Those that would like to pre-order Triangle Strategy can do so from the UK My Nintendo Store. Not only is the standard game available, but the Tactician’s Limited Edition is up for grabs as well.

The standard edition is just that – the game itself. With the limited edition, you’ll receive the game and a bunch of additional goodies – six customized dice, a deck of playing cards, a steelbook, a double-sided poster, and a collector’s box. Thus far there’s no word on any pre-order bonuses for either version.

Triangle Strategy TGS 2021

As part of TGS 2021, Square Enix has readied a new trailer for Triangle Strategy.

Here’s an overview of the game:

Dungeon Encounters

Square Enix today unveiled Dungeon Encounters, a single-player dungeon exploration RPG. It will launch on October 14.

Dungeon Encounters has some notable talent behind it. Final Fantasy series’ veteran Hiroyuki Ito is directing while Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age’s Hiroaki Kato is the game’s producer. There will also be fantasy inspired characters by character designer Ryoma Ito. Finally, Nobuo Uematsu is on board as musical director, who will deliver a modern take on classical tracks.

Chocobo GP gameplay

After it was revealed in last week’s Nintendo Direct, some of the first gameplay has emerged for Chocobo GP. Direct-feed footage has emerged from IGN and V Jump.

marvel's guardians of the galaxy combat

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal are back with two new videos for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy that detial combat and exploration. Both have insight from senior gameplay director Patrick Fortier. Fortier talks about how the Guardians synergize in battle as well as how players can lead the Guardians outside of it.

Over on Nintendo’s website, the Triangle Strategy team has provided a bunch of additional information about how the game has been improved and changed following the previous demo feedback survey.

Square Enix asked those that tried out the demo from this year to fill out a survey to assist with development. It was ultimately downloaded around one million times, and 25,000 responses were recorded between February 22 and March 21.

The team ended up focusing on a few areas to improve Triangle Strategy in light of what it learned from the demo feedback survey: loading times, events, battle difficulty, and battle operation. Other changes have been implemented as well.

Life is Strange Remastered Collection release date

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection now has a final release date, with Square Enix and Deck Nine confirming today that the package is scheduled for February 1, 2022.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection includes Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered. It includes remastered character and environment visuals, a new engine and lighting upgrades, and new fully motion captured facial animation in Life is Strange. Before the Storm contains the Deluxe content – specifically outfits, the ‘Farewell’ episode, and Zombie Crypt outfit.

Voice of Cards demo

During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix announced Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars for Switch and then promptly released a demo on the eShop. Gameplay of the trial is now available.

For those that missed the news originally, Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars comes from creative director Yoko Taro, Keiichi Okabe (who’s leading the music), and character designer Kimihiko Fujisaka. In other words, there’s some notable talent from the NieR series here.
