Square Enix bringing Romancing SaGa 3 west on November 11, SaGa Scarlet Grace Ambitions on December 3

Square Enix today announced the release dates for two RPGs in the west. Romancing SaGa 3 will first launch on November 11, followed by SaGa Scarlet Grace Ambitions on December 3.
Both games will feature “new content, optimized graphics and updated gameplay controls.” We have some additional information below.

Star Ocean: First Departure R is coming west, Square Enix has confirmed. The HD remaster of the classic sci-fi RPG will launch digitally for Switch on December 5 – the same day as Japan.

Star Ocean: First Departure R is coming to Switch in Japan on December 5, Square Enix announced today.
Some new features have also been detailed. Square Enix is including a double speed option for field movement and new voice recordings featuring the cast from the original Super Famicom version. Players can switch back to the original First Departure voices as well. While new character designs will be available, it’s also possible to go back to the original art.

Pre-orders open for Dragon Quest I, II, and III physical Switch release with English support

Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest I, II, and III are all coming to Switch in Japan later this month. Fortunately, English support is already confirmed despite the lack of news for the west.
Over in Asia, Square Enix will offer a physical version of all three games. Better yet, the entire package supports English.
Play-Asia has now opened pre-orders on its website here. Copies are expected to ship in October.

This week, Square Enix revealed that Trials of Mana is arriving on April 24. We now have some additional coverage thanks to retailer listings.

Dragon Quest I, II, and III will be available for Switch in English in Asia this year

During the Japanese version of this week’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix revealed that the first three Dragon Quest games are coming to Switch this month. While there hasn’t been any news for the west, it looks like there will be an English option available.
Square Enix Asia has indicated that those same three Dragon Quest games will be distributed in Asia “as one packaged bundle.” English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options will be supported.
Square Enix Asia mentions that the release will be taking place sometime in 2019.

Trials of Mana has been given an official release date. It will launch on April 24, Square Enix confirmed during today’s Nintendo Direct. That date was rumored earlier today.
