Super Mario Bros. 35

Nintendo has announced the next Special Battle for Super Mario Bros. 35. Courses are the focus here, and stages between 3-1 and 4-4 will be featured.

The new Special Battle event goes live on October 16. It’ll be live until October 19.

Nintendo has put out the first update for Super Mario Bros. 35. Version 1.0.1 is live, which implements a couple of fixes.

Below are the full patch notes:

Super Mario Bros. 35 has kicked off its next Special Battle. Titled “Frantic Fight Against Exceptional Enemies”, powerful enemies such as Lakitu, Hammer Bros., and Bowser dominate the courses.

This new Special Battle will be live until October 11.

Nintendo has put out a launch trailer for Super Mario Bros. 35, which is out today for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Check it out below.

Super Mario Bros. 35 launches today for Nintendo Switch Online members, and in celebration, Nintendo has announced that a Special Battle event will take place. During this event, players will compete in limited courses from Worlds 1 and 2.

This event has been revealed for the UK an Europe at the following times:
UK: Event starts October 1 at 8am BST, ends on October 10 at 7:59am BST.
Europe: Event starts October 1 at 9am CEST, ends on October 10 at 8:59am CEST.

We will keep you updated if a similar event is announced for North America.

Super Mario Bros. 35 has released on the Japanese Switch eShop, and footage is now popping up online. Check out some gameplay below.

Super Mario Bros. 35 will officially launch in all territories on October 1.

Update: Super Mario Bros. 35 appears to be live on the Japanese Switch eShop. We’re not seeing it in other regions yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

Super Mario Bros. 35 launches for Nintendo Switch Online members on October 1.

It seems that Nintendo has some fun activities planned for Mario’s 35th Anniversary in Japan, as they have teamed up with the JR East rail system in a program called “JR East Super Mario PLAY! TOKYO!” 

The first event they have planned is a look back at Super Mario Bros. history on the Yamanote Line by having stamps to collect at each station. 35 different stations will participate in this, to honor the 35 years of Super Mario Bros.

A Japanese TV commercial has been released by Nintendo for the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary. This 30-second commercial shows many of the games already released on the Switch, such as Mario Kart 8, Mario Odyssey, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
