Yesterday, Video Games Plus put out a message on its Twitter account claiming that Nintendo has discontinued the Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, and Villager amiibo. The Canadian retailer now published a similar message regarding the GameCube Controller Adapter. Assuming Video Games Plus is correct, the accessory has been discontinued as well.

It’s hard to think of a Nintendo console in recent memory that had as much third party support as the DS. Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Discussing Everything | 0 comments
I was thinking that today’s Discussing Everything would be light on news… until The Game Awards happened on Friday! We should have plenty to talk about between the likes of Zelda Wii U and Mario Maker. We may sneak in some other news and Captain Toad as well depending on how things go. And, as always, you’ll have an opportunity to submit random topics/questions.
Discussing Everything will take place at 4 PM ET / 1 PM PT today. Be on the lookout for the chat post shortly before then.

Nintendo may have discontinued a trio of amiibo figures, if one retailer is to be believed.
Video Games Plus stated on Twitter earlier today that the Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, and Villager are “gone forever”. That’s based on information apparently coming from the retailer’s Nintendo distributor. Video Games Plus was told that all three “are officially discontinued”.
