Nintendo Switch Online adds Earthworm Jim 2, Dig Dug II, Mappy-Land

A new set of SNES and NES games have just been revealed for Nintendo Switch Online as part of a late March 2022 update. The latest round of titles include Earthworm Jim 2, Dig Dug II, and Mappy-Land. It’s a total of one addition for the SNES side of things and two more games for NES. Note that Japan has been given Harvest Moon in place of Earthworm Jim 2.

Big Bang Pro Wrestling gets surprise release on Switch

SNK has revealed the latest Neo Geo Pocket Color title it’s bringing to Switch – that being Big Bang Pro Wrestling. The game is actually available right now.
Big Bang Pro Wrestling originally came out in 2000. It never left Japan, though it did come with an English language option.

Switch Joy-Con drift lawsuit dependent on whether kids can sue

Over the past few years, we’ve heard about a number of lawsuits filed against Nintendo involving Switch Joy-Con drift. However, nothing has come from these cases some far. Some might be curious as to why that is.
Axios reports that prior lawsuits “have largely stalled out,” and cases from 2019 and 2020 have been sent to arbitration for resolution. However, an interesting situation is developing with one particular case.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe confirmed for Switch, out in April

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is coming to Switch, Crows Crows Crows confirmed in a trailer shared today. It will release on April 17, 2022.
The first-person exploration game first appeared over a decade ago, but it will be launching on a Nintendo console for the first time. Ultra Deluxe “dramatically expands the world of the original game with new content, new choices, and new secrets for you to uncover.” It’s been a long wait as this updated version of the original was actually announced at The Game Awards 2018.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night reveals playable character Aurora from Child of Light

It’s been revealed that Aurora, who comes from Ubisoft’s Child of Light, is joining Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night as a new playable character.
After a new update is installed, players can start a new game with Aurora from the main menu. Once they’ve selected the save file name, they’ll be able to choose Miriam, Zangetsu, or Aurora as their starting character.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 delayed to Spring 2023

Zelda: Breath of the Wild will not launch this year as originally expected. The game has been delayed to Spring 2023, series producer Eiji Aonuma has announced.
Aonuma and Nintendo as a were last targeting release sometime in 2022.

GfK released new data today that reveals the 30 highest earning video game franchises in the UK history based on revenue earned from boxed sales. The report accounts for sales earned since 1995.
Mario comes in at #3 and is compromised of all sub-brands. 109 games are covered, but the biggest hits were Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 8, and New Super Mario Bros.

Recently, the first Kirby game with true 3D gameplay was released on Switch. It’s fascinating to observe that process and notice the many adaptations developers make to guarantee that everything works perfectly in that sort of new and complex environment.

Coromon delayed on Switch

Just days ahead of the game’s launch, Coromon is seeing a delay on Switch.
The monster taming RPG was previously announced for a March 31, 2022 debut. While that’s still happening on Steam, the Switch version has been pushed back to an unspecified date.
Speaking about the delay, TRAGsoft said that the team “ran into some unexpected snags when it comes to online features and cross platform multiplayer.” In order to ensure that everything is up and running properly, Coromon has been pushed back on Switch.
