Yesterday, WayForward posted a new update pertaining to Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on the game’s official Kickstarter page. The latest news primarily covers the upcoming Ultimate Edition.
WayForward first confirms that the Ultimate Edition will include the “Backer Exclusive” content from Kickstarter, including the Tinkerbat DLC. The company states:

You can pick up the new Friends to the End expansion for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. Well, if you’re playing on Switch that is. The Wii U version seems to be experiencing a small delay.
WayForward says that Friends to the End for Wii U is now arriving on December 21 in North America. We’re unsure about Europe, but it’s possible that the DLC will still be launching today.

European Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Day One Edition boxart, UK pre-orders up on Amazon

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Day One Edition will be available for Switch sometime in Spring 2018. Over on Amazon UK, pre-orders have now started. The package can be reserved here.
The Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Day One Edition features the game and three pieces of DLC – Pirate Queen’s Quest, Friends to the End, and Costume Mode. And as extra day one bonuses, an art book and soundtrack CD are included.

XSEED Games has provided new details about the physical version of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero for Switch. A limited “Ultimate Day One Edition” will be offered in Spring 2018. It’s planned for both North America and Europe at a $39.99 price point.
This edition includes a copy of the game, the 30-song ‘Risky Beats’ soundtrack on CD, and a new art book. The Pirate Queen’s Quest, new Costume Mode, and Friends Mode DLC will be included as well.

The new Friends to the End expansion for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will launch on December 12, WayForward has announced. This applies to the Switch version and North American Wii U release. In Europe, the DLC is slated for the following week in Europe.
Friends to the End is the final final piece of the Shantae: Half-Genie Hero storyline. Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops are featured as new playable characters.
