Yesterday, Nintendo of America announced the return of the Splatoon Testfire limited demo. Today, Nintendo announced that the Splatoon Testfire is also coming to Europe. Players can download the free Splatoon demo starting on August 18th. The Testfire period will end on September 1st.

Nintendo of Europe has not announced any further details so far, such as specific times when you will be able to actually play the demo, like in North America. It would be slightly unusual, but it is possible that you will be able to play the Splatoon demo as much as you want from August 18th till September 1st. We will keep you updated.

Nintendo of Europe had some news for Yo-Kai Watch fans today: first of all, a Yo-Kai Watch 2DS bundle will be released on October 7th. The bundle contains a blue Nintendo 2DS pre-installed with Yo-Kai Watch.

Also, Nintendo confirmed that both versions of Yo-Kai Watch 2, Fleshy Souls and Bony Spirits will arrive in Europe in Spring 2017. As with the first game, other regions will get to play the game several months earlier, so European Yo-Kai Watch fans will once again need to be patient.

gamescom 2016 is right around the corner and Nintendo just sent out a press release announcing their full lineup and plans for the show.

The biggest highlight is probably a live gameplay demonstration of Pokemon Sun & Moon by Game Freak’s Shigeki Morimoto. This will only be the second ever live gameplay of Sun & Moon, after its initial demonstration at E3 in June. The gameplay demonstration will be streamed live on Nintendo’s German Twitch channel this Thursday, August 18th, at 17:00 CEST.

Nintendo is steadily increasing its Nintendo Selects range of products in Europe. Four additional Wii U games will be added to the lineup, meaning they will get a reprint and a permanent discount, starting on September 30th. The four new additions are Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Party 10 and Pikmin 3.

Nintendo just released a new video about the upcoming Paper Mario: Color Splash. It’s the first in a multi-part series about a squad of toads helping Mario in his adventure (and not getting the glory they deserve). Check it out:

Well, we originally going to just include this in our weekly eShop update, but Nintendo doesn’t seem to want to send that out this week, so this is getting its own post.

The Nintendo 64 classic Pokemon Snap will be released on the Wii U Virtual Console in Europe and Australia this week. It will be available at the usual time the eShop receives its weekly update – Thursday in Europe, Friday in Australia.

MixedBag’s Futurium EP Deluxe has been out on Wii U for a while. The New Nintendo 3DS version of the game, meanwhile, took a bit longer to develop, but it’s looking like the wait will soon be over. MixedBag announced on Twitter that the New 3DS version has passed Nintendo’s internal lot check, meaning that as far as Nintendo is concerned, the game is ready to be released on their platforms. MixedBag also confirmed cross-buy with the Wii U version and that the game would run at 60 fps in 3D. A concrete release date is coming soon.
