Source of Madness

It’s been nearly two years since Source of Madness was announced for Switch, but we finally have a release date. Publisher Thunderful and developer Carry Castle announced today that the game will arrive on May 11, 2022.

Source of Madness was first revealed in June 2020. The title is “a side-scrolling dark action roguelite set in a twisted Lovecraftian inspired world powered by procedural generation and AI machine learning.”

Phantom Breaker: Omnia update 1.02.3180

A new 1.02.3180 update went out today for the Switch fighter Phantom Breaker: Omnia. It is largely intended to address some issues in Ranked Match.

SaGa Scarlet Grace Ambitions physical

For the first time, SaGa Scarlet Grace Ambitions is getting a physical edition on Switch with English support.

H2 Interactive and Arc System Works will be releasing this new version in Asia in just a few weeks. Other than English, it will also support Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

Two Point Campus delayed

Two Point Campus has been delayed and will no longer be meeting its original May 17, 2022 release date. Instead, the team has decided to move things back to August 9.

Mark Webley, the game’s director, said in a statement that it will be using the extra time “deliver the best possible game that can be enjoyed equally on all platforms.” He specifically mentioned optimization as a point of focus.

metal dogs trailer

Publisher Kadokawa Games and developer 24Frame prepared a new trailer today for Metal Dogs, their roguelike action game. The title officially launches on Switch in Japan later this week.

lego star wars skywalker saga comparison

A new video for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga servers as a graphics comparison for multiple versions of the game. Switch, Steam Deck, PS4, and PS5 are included here.

We may get further details from an outlet such as Digital Foundry at a later date, but LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is estimated to run at a 720p resolution when docked and 576p in portable mode. Frame rate comes in at 30 FPS. Unsurprisingly, other platforms run at a higher resolution and / or frame rate depending on settings.

Fire Emblem Heroes update 6.4.0

A new Fire Emblem Heroes update has gone live, with Nintendo and Intelligent Systems issuing version 6.4.0. There’s news pertaining to the Coliseum, Heroes Journey, updated lineup of Limited-Time Combat Manuals, new weapons to refine, Aether Raids, and Summoner Duels.

ai somnium files bonus dlc

Spike Chunsoft unveiled the latest trailer today for AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative. In it, fans can get a look at the game’s “Investigation” and “Somnium” systems.

As a reminder, the “Investigation” section is set in the real world where players examine crime scenes and listen to testimonies. The “Somnium” aspect, meanwhile, involves going into dream worlds of suspects and key witnesses. More information can be found in the post we put up last month here.
