NIS America has set a western release date for Crystar, the Japanese RPG from FuRyu and Gemdrops. It will be available on March 29, 2022 in North America. For those in Europe, it’s slated for April 1.

Windjammers 2 gets January 2022 release date, new trailer

It’s been a long time coming, but Windjammers 2 finally has a release date. After it was announced over three years ago, Dotemu confirmed today that the game will arrive on January 20, 2022.
Windjammers 2 was first made known for Switch in August 2018. It was originally planned for release in 2019.

Indie World Showcase announced for December 15

A new Indie World Showcase will air tomorrow on December 15, 2021, Nintendo has announced.
Per usual, the event will cover brand new titles for Switch as well as updates on previously-known games. It will last about 20 minutes.

Chocobo GP gets release date, free Lite version, new trailer

Chocobo GP now has a release date on Switch, and a Lite version has been revealed. The racer will launch on March 10, 2022, Square Enix confirmed today.
A free-to-download version of the game, titled Chocobo GP Lite, will be available at launch. Here racers can play through the Story Mode prologue in single player mode and can participate in both local and online multiplayer races with up to eight racers, if hosted by a friend with the full version of the game. Moreover, Chocobo GP Lite players can test out the fast-paced 64-player tournaments in Chocobo GP mode. Save data can be carried over from Chocobo GP Lite to the full game.

Fire Emblem Heroes announces Winter Dreamland summoning event

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have announced the Winter Dreamland summoning event for Fire Emblem Heroes, which will feature characters clad in holiday-themed outfits.
The event will feature Mirabilis: Sugarplum Vision (voiced by Heather Halley, art by Enkyo Yuichiro), Artur: Silver Saint (voiced by Adin Rudd, art by Tobi), Manuela: Silver Caroler (voiced by Veronica Taylor, art by ekao), and Lysithea: Gifted Students as a duo (voiced by Janice Roman Roku + Brina Palencia, art by Amagaitaro). Mirabilis has the skills Dreamflake, Whimsical Dream, Bracing Stance 3, Spd Cantrip 3, and Ground Orders 3. Artur can use Snow Globe+, Iceberg, Odd Follow-Up 3, and D/R Far Save 3. Manuela’s lineup is Winter Rapier+, Ignis, Atk/Spd Form 3, and Special Fighter 3. Finally, Lysithea comes with Sweet Yule Log, Moonbow, Swift Sparrow 3, A/R Far Trace 3, and C Feud 3.

Publisher Rocket Panda Games and developer Mages have announced a final release date for Phantom Breaker: Omnia, their upcoming 2D fighter. Switch owners can pick up the title starting on March 15, 2022.
