Berserk Boy

Big Sugar and BerserkBoy Games today announced that Berserk Boy, a retro-inspired 2D action platformer with music from Sonic Mania composer Tee Lopes, is on the way to Switch. A release is planned for Q4 2022.

The mainline Pokemon games have always been offered individually, but as of late, there have been double packs as well. It’s unsurprising then that Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are getting the same treatment.

The double pack for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl will be available as a packaged version or as a digital downloadable version. Pricing is set at $119.99.

Pokemon Home

The Pokemon Company has announced a new update for Pokemon Home. The Catch Calendar will be introduced as a new feature, which “enables users to view their Pokemon arranged by the dates on which they caught them.” It also lets users view Pokemon registered to the Pokedex in Pokemon Home from various angles.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Pokemon Legends: Arceus has received a final release date. The game is on track for January 28, 2022, The Pokemon Company has announced.

When Pokemon Legends: Arceus was first announced, we only had a vague early 2022 window.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl will launch on November 19, it’s been announced.

The latest Monster Hunter Digital Event will be taking place not too long from now. Expect the broadcast to kick off at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe. During the event, Capcom will be delivering the latest news on Monster Hunter Rise (specifically version 3.0) and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Torchlight III

Perfect World Entertainment and Echtra Games have prepared a major spring update for Torchlight III. The hack and slash dungeon crawler is at version 1.9.106169 on Switch, bringing along the Cursed Captain mid-range class, quality-of-life updates, four new species of pets, an added contract and more.

Time Pilot '84

Hamster is continuing its string of Arcade Archives releases with another game on Switch this week. On May 27, Time Pilot ’84 will be available worldwide.

Time Pilot ’84 was originally made by Konami. It’s a scrolling multidirectional shooter in which players fly over alien cityscapes and take down both ground and air enemies.

Pricing for Time Pilot ’84 is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

There’s no question that Masahiro Sakurai is a veteran developer of the games industry. He’s been working on various projects for nearly three decades, and has contributed to some major IPs. Of course, he’ll always be recognized for his involvement in Kirby and Super Smash Bros.

There are some early leaks from Sakurai’s column in this week’s Famitsu, and he delves into what lies ahead in the future. As for that column which been ongoing since 2003, he would likely be ending it “this year at the latest.”

A new update for the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online app has just gone out. Users can now access version 5.3.0.
