Switch Joy-Con

A class action lawsuit has been brewing with Nintendo over Joy-Con drift since last July. With many system owners complaining about faulty controllers, the hope is that the issues will be properly addressed.

A verdict hasn’t been reached and there hasn’t been much to report on, but there was an interesting development this week. U.S. law firm Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith (CSK&D), who is handling the lawsuit, is now reaching out to consumers who previously complained about Joy-Con drift to provide a short “describing your experience with the Joy-Con drift on your controllers.” This is after Nintendo apparently argued that it “isn’t a real problem or hasn’t caused anyone any inconvenience”.

Darkwood

Super Rare Games has revealed Darkwood as its latest physical release. The company has teamed up with Acid Wizard Studio and Crunching Koalas on the boxed version.

Copies include all the content on its cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and three trading cards randomly selected from the five-card set. Only 5,000 units will be made.

Darkwood can be pre-ordered physically on October 8 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM in the UK / 7 PM in Europe through Super Rare Games.

Neighbours back From Hell

During the GameCube era, the puzzle strategy game Neighbours back From Hell released on the system (and later DS). It also received a PC-only sequel Neighbours from Hell 2: On Vacation. Now more than a decade later, both titles are returning on Switch with a new HD remaster.

According to an eShop listing, Neighbours back From Hell will launch on October 8. The page offers up the following overview:

Several years ago, Nintendo created a few animated videos for Pikmin known as Pikmin Short Movies. They were bundled together and released as a “3D” version on 3DS and an “HD” version on Wii U.

Nintendo has now announced that Pikmin Short Movies will be pulled from the eShops, affecting both 3DS and Wii U. After they’re taken down on October 8, they’ll be added to Nintendo’s YouTube channel.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain

Publisher Modus Games, director Darril Arts, and developer Stormind Games today issued a synopsis trailer to bring horror fans up to speed with the events leading into the upcoming survival horror sequel Remothered: Broken Porcelain. We have it below.

Today, Clouded Leopard Entertainment and PrimaryOrbit announced that the dungeon crawler fantasy RPG Marchen Forest: Mylne and the Forest Gift will release for Switch on January 28, 2021.

Those in Japan and Asia will be able to purchase physical standard and limited editions for $34.99 / $94.99 respectively. The latter version comes with a deluxe figurine of the game’s heroine Mylne sculpted by Art Presto’s Zero Studio artist Noriyuki Yamaguchi.
