Square Enix considering the Secret of Mana remake for Switch, aware of western interest in Seiken Densetsu Collection

Square Enix will soon be bringing out a remake of Secret of Mana. At least for now, the game won’t be offered on Switch. That doesn’t mean Square Enix isn’t considering it, however.
Producer Masaru Oyamada reiterated to USgamer that development on the Secret of Mana remake began before Switch was announced. Square Enix was later “very surprised to see the amount of demand and feedback we received for a potential Switch version.” Although there are no promises, Oyamada said the team “will make an effort to see what is feasible in the future”.
World End Syndrome launches April 26 in Japan

World End Syndrome will launch in Japan on April 26, according to the latest issue of Famitsu. Arc System Works will be publishing the title for 6,264 yen.
World End Syndrome has been described as a love adventure game. At the start, the protagonist moves to the sea town Mihate-chou following an unexpected turn of events.
Yuuki Katou, the main visual designer for the BlazBlue series, is in charge character design. Tomio Kanazawa, who has much experience with adventure games, is leading the way on the game’s scenario.

First AeternoBlade coming to Switch

Corcell Technology is currently working on AeternoBlade II, which is slated for Switch. While we wait for the game, Corcell is tiding fans over by offering the original title on Nintendo’s console.
This new release of AeternoBlade looks to be the same title originally launched on 3DS back in 2014. The European eShop lists it for a February 1 release.

Chess Ultra receives new free and paid DLC

Ripstone is updating Chess Ultra on Switch with a new wave of DLC. Players will find one piece of free content as well as some paid sets and packs.
The Pantheon Game Pack, Imperial Chess Set, and Easter Island Chess Set are all available now. The Academy Game Pack will be arriving February with more DLC to follow in 2018.

New Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion details and screenshots give a first look at battles and more

A couple of months ago, Outright Games announced Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion. It’s a promising-looking title, with development being handled by Silent Hill: Shattered Memories developer Climax Studios.
We now have a bunch of additional details and screenshots. The latest content gives us a first look at combat for example, which features a “fast-paced, turn-based combat system”.

Miitomo shutdown Q&A from Nintendo – reason for closure, no refunds, more

On its support site, Nintendo has published an official Q&A about the shutdown of Miitomo. It was announced last night that the app’s service will end on May 9.
The Q&A addresses some interesting points, such as the reason for Miitomo’s closure. Nintendo also indicates that refunds will not be offered in the west.

Nintendo reconfirms no more new content updates for ARMS

Although it was essentially known previously, Nintendo has once again confirmed that ARMS will not be receiving any new content in the future. Director Kosuke Yabuki has said that there could be updates for balance adjustments in the future as well as other small changes, but nothing along the lines of new characters.
