Thimbleweed Park targeted for this month / next month on Switch

We may not have to wait much longer for Thimbleweed Park on Switch. In a tweet sent out to one fan, creator Ron Gilbert said that the team is targeting a release this month or next month.
The tweet reads:

Thimbleweed Park is a point-and-click adventure game that follows up on classics like The Secret of Monkey Island. Gilbert worked on the project along with Gary Winnick, who was also involved with the old titles at Lucasfilm Games.

Famitsu’s most wanted games (8/6/17)

It’s time for the latest Famitsu‘s most wanted games chart. Super Mario Odyssey is in the top five, and Fire Emblem Warriors is just one spot below. Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux are also in the top ten.

Rumor: Metroid: Samus Returns boxart reveals new Aeion ability

Thus far, Nintendo has officially confirmed three Aeion abilities for Metroid: Samus Returns. The game will feature Scan Pulse, Lightning Armor, and Beam Burst. A fourth ability has now seemingly been unintentionally revealed as well.
A boxart image has popped up on Reddit specifically from the Legacy Edition. While not officially confirmed, the packaging shot does have new art that we posted earlier today.

Rumor: Internal codenames for new and old ARMS fighters found through datamining

Splatoon 2 isn’t the only Nintendo game that has recently been datamined. Fans have also been pouring through the contents of ARMS, and have apparently found the internal codenames for twenty fighters – some that are already in the game, and some that aren’t.

Square Enix shows how it asked Akira Toriyama to design Dragon Quest XI’s main characters

At the Dragon Quest Festival 2017 in Tokyo, Square Enix offered new insight into the game’s creation. The company published images which show how Akira Toriyama was asked to come up with the various designs.

A few Dragon Quest Builders 2 details, release date is a year off

Yesterday, Square Enix unveiled Dragon Quest Builders 2 for Switch. A few details about the game were shared at the Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 event.
Keywords for the game include “traveling companion” and “young Malroth”. Series creator Yuji Horii didn’t talk about either one in-depth, but said “Malroth is your companion”. Malroth is the name of final boss from Dragon Quest 2, by the way.
