Sonic isn’t the only new character modders are bringing into Mario Kart. Recently, Twitter user SmashingRenders showed that he was able to get Kirby into the game.

Here’s a look:

SmashingRenders paid extra attention to the small details. When on the anti-gravity portions of the track, the star lights up.

You can download the mod here. It replaces the BiddyBuggy with the WarpStar kart and Koopa with Kirby.

Nintendo had a big blowout of ARMS this week with its own dedicated Nintendo Direct. It really touched on almost everything we’ve wanted to know about the game. New characters were revealed, new modes were shown, and we even found out about ARMS Global Testpunch – an opportunity to try things out before launch.

At BitSummit this weekend, Pygmy Studio and original Chibi-Robo director Kenichi Nishi are showing off a new Switch project tentatively known as LUNAXXX. Footage and details are now in – at least of the prototype version.

LUNAXXX features a character that has already appeared in a mobile title. In that game, civilization has been destroyed and is buried underground. This new Switch project acts like a prequel and the goal is to save as many people as possible by fishing.

VIZ Media has a new book on the way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Pokemon Adventures manga series. On August 9, fans can pick up The Art of Pokemon Adventures.

Amazon offers up the following description of the book:

It was recently made known that, in Japan, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 would be out this fall. Bandai Namco has since confirmed the same window for North America as well.

We don’t have any news for Europe just yet. However, the game will almost certainly be dropping this fall in PAL regions as well.

Toys “R” Us restocked Switch at its stores across the United States yesterday. Over at Best Buy, the retailer will have units as well. Gray and neon units will apparently be on hand.

Best Buy’s Twitter page told one consumer the following:


If you’re planning on going to Best Buy tomorrow, you may want to show up before the store opens. You may also want to call ahead of time to confirm the restock.

Atlus uploaded a second trailer for Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 ahead of its Japanese launch on August 31. View the video below.

Nintendo’s Japanese Twitter page and blog have a few extra details about ARMS Global Testpunch. The online demo will begin towards the end of next week.

To reiterate, seven fighters are included: Spring Man, Ribbon Girl, Master Mummy, Ninjara, Mechanica, Min Min, and Helix. With each one, you can choose from their standard ARMS. It’s also possible to play the demo with one or two players with a single Switch unit. The ARMS Global Testpunch can be experienced with the Party Match mode, including V-Ball.

When connecting with players in lobbies, versus rules will be automatically selected. It also looks like there’s a “Warm Up” option and the ability to change your fighter while waiting.
