DeNA has been a key partner in creating mobile games for Nintendo as well as the company’s online infrastructure. As part of a briefing with investors, more details were provided about how resources are being used.

DeNA CEO Isao Moriyasu has said that it had around 100 people “directly participating” in the work carried out with Nintendo. This is out of a total Game & Entertainment Business Unit workforce of more than 1,000. Moriyasu also said that the partnership continues to be a “high priority” for DeNA, and it will allocate more resources to it if necessary.

DeNA’s overall games business earned 101.4 billion yen ($915 million) during the fiscal year ended March 31, 2017. That’s down 7.%5 year-on-year. Profits did increase 9 percent to 28.3 billion yen ($255 million), however.

Metroid: Samus Returns will have plenty of amiibo functionality when the game launches in September. You’ll be able to use the new Samus and Metroid figures being prepared for the game, along with the previously-released amiibo from the Smash Bros. series.

Nintendo opened the Japanese website for Samus Returns earlier today. It doesn’t have a whole lot of information currently, but the amiibo page was also updated with details on the game’s amiibo support.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild was developed as an entirely single-player experience. Some fans are trying to turn that concept on its head, however.

Pictures have been shown of an upcoming mod planned for Breath of the Wild. When it’s ready, two people will be able to play the game together. Inputs will be sent through each game. As for how it all works, the mod changes the location of an NPC and swaps the model for Link.

Just don’t expect to see the mod anytime soon. It’s expected that work will take around a year for it to be playable, and in order to experience it, you’ll need to play on Wii U with the CEMU emulator.

A demo for Rayman Legends Definitive Edition has unexpectedly been published on the European Switch eShop. It’s available for download right now, assuming you have 707MB of free space. You can download the demo in any region so long as you have a European Nintendo account.

Also worth mentioning, the European eShop indicates that Rayman Legends Definitive Edition is slated for September 12. Some of these listings have been occasionally inaccurate, but retailers have also been pointing to the same date.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 recording sessions were held yesterday and today. Jen Bird from Tomorrow Bird wrapped up a couple of tracks, including the game’s ending theme. It’s thought that the ending song will be a ballad that conveys the meaning of character relationships.
