“In Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, players begin the game as they set out looking for a fresh start and new surroundings. During their voyage, their ship is hit by a monsoon and goes down. As they drift into a small harbor town, now in a shambles from the storm, it will be up to the player to help rebuild the town and save the lighthouse…but it won’t be easy! Nevertheless, with some hard work growing crops, tending livestock, and gathering materials for repairs, players will be able to make new friends, start a family, revive the lighthouse, and save the town!”
Today’s announcement did not include a release date, but Light of Hope is intended to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary. We should be seeing first footage at E3.

Dragon Quest XI has no stereoscopic 3D, other tidbits
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 21 Comments
A new image has surfaced showing the back of Dragon Quest XI’s boxart. On it, we’re able to see that stereoscopic 3D is not supported. Perhaps that’s not entirely surprising, as other Dragon Quest 3DS titles such as Dragon Quest VIII don’t make use of the feature Nintendo and Square Enix are also teaming up for a New 2DS XL bundle. As we know, that system lacks 3D support.
Dragon Quest XI’s boxart has some other tidbits as well. Three save slots are included, one of which is used for suspend data. You can also exchange data through StreetPass and download special items, etc. via the internet.

Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 80 Comments
Nintendo has released a new firmware for Switch. All system owners should now have access to version 2.3.0.
Like the past couple of updates, today’s update isn’t massively exciting. Nintendo’s single patch note is as follows: “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience”.
The data for today’s update should download automatically if it hasn’t already. However, you can also manually initiate the download in system settings.

Towards the end of last week, Nintendo put up new CPSIA certificates for most of the Zelda: Breath of the Wild amiibo. Archer Link, Rider Link, and the Guardian now have an extra month of production.
The Breath of the Wild figures have been pretty tough to find, so a new run would make sense. We’ll keep you updated on any major restocks in the future assuming there are any.
