“LEGO Marvel 2” spotted on voice actor strike document

Video game voice actors and stunt performers are currently holding a strike against developers in hopes of negotiating better conditions. The union SAG-AFTRA is representing these people, and shared a list of projects that they are no longer allowed to work on. Some interesting information was shared as a result.
On the list, something known as “LEGO Marvel 2” is mentioned. What is that exactly? Well, it’s a bit unclear. Warner Bros. did publish LEGO Marvel’s Avengers as a follow up to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes earlier this year. We may not know what “LEGO Marvel 2” is, but it looks like we can count on another Marvel-based LEGO game in the future.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf devs talk about the new update

Nintendo UK added a new interview to its website today centered around the new Animal Crossing: New Leaf update. General producer Katsuya Eguchi and Animal Crossing series producer Hisashi Nogami spoke about various topics, including why camper vans were chosen. Dragon Quest VIII launches on January 20 in North America and Europe

Update: Bumped to the top. Nintendo has just confirmed the same date for Europe.
Original: Dragon Quest VIII is heading to North America on January 20, Nintendo has just announced. You can take a look at the official boxart above.
This new version of Dragon Quest VIII features two new playable characters and additional side quests. Also included is a new Quick-Save function and a “Speed Up” feature to increase battle speed. Players can also take photos, customize them, and share images via StreetPass or by nabbing them from the SD card.

Nintendo opens Japanese Animal Crossing series website

Nintendo has now opened a special Japanese website dedicated to all things Animal Crossing. Access it here.
If you’re interested in the Animal Crossing amiibo cards, you may want to view this page in particular. It shows off the fifth series of amiibo cards plus the six Sanrio collaboration cards.

Nyko releasing an extension cord for the NES Classic Edition’s controller

The NES Classic Edition’s controller cord is roughly 30 inches long. If you feel that’s too short, you might be interested in a new accessory from Nyko.
GameStop is listing the “NES ExtendLink Extension Cable”. Its purpose is simple, as it extends the controller cord by six feet. It also works “with some Wii and Wii U wired controllers”.
The extension cable costs $10. Place an order here if interested.

A look at the hardware behind the NES Classic Edition

GameSpot editor Peter Brown opened up the NES Classic Edition and is giving gamers a look at what’s inside the device. The big takeaway, as Nintendo previously explained, is that new titles can’t be added. This is reconfirmed now that we’re able to see the components used by the NES Classic Edition.
For those interested in some of the finer technical details, here’s a rundown of what’s inside:
– SoC: Allwinner R16 (4x Cortex A7, Mali400MP2 GPU)
– RAM: SKHynix (256MB DDR3)

Miitopia trailers with English subtitles

Nintendo added a preview of Miitopia to the Japanese 3DS eShop yesterday, which basically included a couple of interactive trailers. YouTube user Kubuskwal has now shared translated versions of the videos. Both can be found below.
