Zelda Wii U rumors: More talk of Wii U / NX release, play as a male / female, voice acting
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch, Wii U | 544 Comments
Emily Rogers – who most recently revealed that a new Paper Mario was heading to Wii U prior to the announcement of Color Splash – has come forward with a new set of rumors about Zelda Wii U.
Today’s speculation consists of three parts. Rogers further backs up claims that the new Zelda will be on both Wii U and NX. Additionally, the game may allow players to choose between a male or female character, and most characters are voiced – aside from Link.
Here’s the full roundup of Rogers’ tweets:
Rumor #1: Yes, Zelda is coming to both Wii U and NX. I confirmed it with a ton of people. You can choose which one to get. Or get both.
— Emily Rogers (@ArcadeGirl64) April 8, 2016
Rumor #2: I heard from multiple sources that you can choose between a male or female as your playable character in Zelda.
— Emily Rogers (@ArcadeGirl64) April 8, 2016
Rumor #3: There is voice acting for most of the characters…except Link.
— Emily Rogers (@ArcadeGirl64) April 8, 2016
Like with all rumors, these bits should be taken with a grain of salt. It shouldn’t be too much longer until we hear about the new Zelda in an official capacity again, as E3 is coming up quick.

Monolith Productions job listing includes mention of Nintendo lot check
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 9 Comments
Warner Bros. developer Monolith Productions has done very little with Nintendo hardware in the past. But a new job listing is sparking speculation that the studio – which made the acclaimed Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – could have something to offer in the future… maybe on NX?
This line from a Quality Assurance Manager posting is what gamers are talking about in particular:
Knowledge of certification standards for Microsoft (TCR compliance), Sony (TRC compliance), or Nintendo (Lot Check).
Of course, there’s no specific mention of NX there. Having the word “or” is also important, as it could mean a person with experience publishing games on major platforms is simply needed. I suppose only time will tell if something ever comes from this!

Yo-kai Sangokushi sold through 64% of its initial shipment in Japan
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 18 Comments
Yo-kai Sangokushi moved 270,000 copies during its launch weekend in Japan (April 2 and April 3). Media Create now reports that the game sold through 63.87 percent of its initial shipment.
Even though it’s a spin-off, this title’s sales fall well short in comparison to the series’ last release, Yo-kai Watch Busters. That one sold nearly 700,000 units in July 2015. However, when compared to Pokemon Conquest which was another collaboration game from the past (first week sales of 172,000 units, sell-through rate of 58.43 percent), Yo-kai Sangokushi sold much better in both numbers and sell-through rate. Given that, one could say that it’s off to a good start.
