South Park Snow Day gameplay

Gameplay has arrived showing the Switch version of South Park: Snow Day. THQ Nordic just brought this one out as a new 3D co-op title.

Hatch Tales delay 2024

Hatch Tales, which was most recently on track to launch tomorrow, is seeing a last-minute delay. Atooi now announced that the game is planned for June 21, 2024.

Hatch Tales has been a long time coming. Originally made for 3DS in 2017, Atooi created a Kickstarter for a new Switch version the following year. A number of changes have been made along the way, including the name – it was previously titled Chicken Wiggle Workshop.


Nintendo testing layoffs

According to a Kotaku report, Nintendo of America is restructuring its testing center. Some new full-time employee positions will be created, but a number of contractors are being let go – including testers with over ten years of experience.

The gaming industry as a whole has seen a high number of layoffs over the past couple of years, and it seems Nintendo isn’t immune to that either. Current and former contractors say Nintendo’s restructuring will result in “a massive downsizing”.

Mortal Kombat 1 just issued its latest update, which is highlighted by support for Kameo Janet Cage.

Other than that, a bunch of fixes are included. Some of the problems fixed are specifically for the Switch version.

Steel Seed

ESDigital Games and Storm in a Teacup have informed Nintendo Everything that Steel Seed is tentatively planned for Switch.

Bringing the game to Switch is the current plan. However, “it will depend on further down the development cycle as to if its possible without compromising the quality and gameplay experience.” Assuming a Switch version doesn’t happen, you’d have to think that we’ll be seeing it on what comes next for Nintendo hardware.

No Man's Sky Orbital update 4.6

Hello Games just revealed “Orbital” as the next major update for No Man’s Sky. This is known as version 4.6.

The update includes the latest features, content, and fixes. Highlights include an overhaul for space stations, ship customization, new shops, and new base parts. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and Hello Games goes over it all with the latest patch notes.

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections update 1.20

Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 are back with a new version 1.20 update for Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections.

Support has been added for the latest DLC, highlighted by Isshiki Otsutsuki. Elsewhere Ninja Battle has been added as a new event, there’s a new round of character balancing, and various bugs have been fixed.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is getting a brand new version 1.1 update, Square Enix and Gemdrops revealed today. Players can access it on March 27, 2024.

The Star Ocean: The Second Story R version 1.1 update features a “Chaos” difficulty mode, new raid enemies, and more. Find the breakdown of upcoming content below.

Nintendo has announced the latest update for F-Zero 99, which will bring the game to version 1.3.0. Distribution will begin on March 27 in North America and March 28 in Europe.

The update will let players access the new Mirror Grand Prix, Mirror Tracks for Knight League, and Classic Mini Prix. Note that Mirror Tracks for King League and Queen League will become available in the future, too.
