These documents indicate that various amiibo will be seeing one month of additional production. That goes for amiibo like the Villager, Rosalina, Lucario, Captain Falcon, and more.

Mega Evolution confirmed for Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon

The latest issue of CoroCoro has revealed that Mega Evolutions are in for Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. Other than that, it’s confirmed that Hoopa Unbound will be present. We also have a look at the first artwork and 3DS theme for pre-ordering the title.

Bloodstained clears final Kickstarter stretch goal, getting roguelike dungeon mode

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s Kickstarter has hit $5 million (combined with PayPal funds). The final stretch goal has been cleared, and the game will be receiving a roguelike dungeon mode.

As a reminder, here’s what fans can expect from the feature:

In this mode you’ll face a new castle every time, braving its treacherous (and massive) halls for loot, glory, and the simple, satisfying feeling of going where no Miriam has gone before. Once you’ve explored its passages and defeated its boss, you’ll get a code that will enable you to share your randomly generated dungeon with a friend.

Hoopa confirmed as movie distribution for Pokemon 3DS games in Japan

This month’s issue of CoroCoro has started to leak. In the magazine, it’s confirmed that Hoopa will be distributed as part of the upcoming movie in Japan.

Those who see The Archdjinni of the Rings – Hoopa will be able to obtain the Pokemon. The distribution will last between July 18 and September 30, and will be valid for Pokemon X/Y as well as Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.

Hoopa will come with the moves Hyperspace Hole, Psychic, Nasty Plot and Astonish.

May 2015 NPD: amiibo leads in interactive gaming toy sales

In the U.S., amiibo led the way in dollar sales out of all interactive gaming toy offerings during the month of May. It’s the first time since the figures launched that this feat was accomplished.

Thanks to amiibo’s strong performance, interactive gaming toy sales as a whole rose 73 percent in the U.S. last month.

NPD Group’s Liam Callahan said:

“May 2015 was a positive month for video game accessory sales, with dollar sales up 20 per cent. The top 5 accessory types: Interactive Gaming Toys; point cards; gamepads; headsets/headphones; and power supplies, all experienced year-over-year growth. Interactive gaming toy sales experienced stellar growth of 73 per cent in May 2015 as Nintendo’s amiibo accessories led dollar sales for the first time since launch.”
