Skypeace hitting the Japanese 3DS eShop next week

Abyss and Airport Hero developer Sonic Powered will soon launch “Skypeace” on the Japanese 3DS eShop.
Players move the Circle Pad up and down to collect coins while flying a rocket propelled surfboard. Power ups are included, such as an Energy Core to fly faster or a shield item for protection. A total of ten stages are provided in the game.
Skypeace will be available in Japan on April 9 for 300 yen.

Square Enix teases “Stella Prisma”

Square Enix is teasing another new title known as “Stella Prisma”. You can find the official website here as well as a “New Game’s Voice and Sound” video above, which is the “first public voices and sounds for a new game”.
Stella Prisma is not to be confused with Square Enix’s other teaser launched earlier this week. Some may have assumed it was an April Fools’ joke given that the page launched on April 1, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

BLOK DROP U sales up 1,105% over last Thursday

BLOK DROP U sales have seen a huge increase following a discount launched on the eShop yesterday. According to developer RCMADAIX, the game has seen a 1,105 percent increase over last Thursday.
The developer wrote on Twitter:
Everyone is Awesome! #BLOKDROPU sales up 1,105% over last Thursday! Enjoy the $0.99 until April 9th, 2014!

BLOK DROP U wasn’t all that pricey to begin with, coming in at $2. Guess more people decided to jump in at $1 though!

Fire Pro Wrestling creator Masato Masuda passes away

Masato Masuda, known for his work on Fire Pro Wrestling, has died at the age of 48.
Suda51 passed along the sad news on Twitter today, writing:
The creator of Fire Pro-wrestling, Masato Masuda, has passed away. He was 48 years old, still young. I genuinely pray for his happiness in the next world. He was one of the greatest creators of video games and he was my direct teacher. Thank you for giving us our favorite Fire Pro-wrestling. You are the god of it.
In addition to Fire Pro Wrestling, Masuda worked prominently on a number of other titles and series, including F1 Triple Battle and Vasteel.

Super Smash Bros. Direct announced for Tuesday

A Super Smash Bros. Direct will be streamed on Tuesday, Nintendo announced today.
The company shared the news on Twitter, writing:
Join us on 8/4 at 11pm UK time for a #SmashBros. Direct focusing on the upcoming #WiiU & #3DS games pic.twitter.com/mjrCfC5LSI
— Nintendo UK (@NintendoUK) April 4, 2014
In an email sent out to the press, Nintendo states that the presentation “will provide new details on the Super Smash Bros. games coming to Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.”
You can watch the Direct at 6 PM PT / 3 PM PT on April 8.

Capcom planning Gaist Crusher God for 3DS

Capcom and Treasure are working on a follow-up to Gaist Crusher, a 3DS game released in Japan in December 2013. The new project, titled “Gaist Crusher God”, will launch this fall.
