Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians will feature a story made up of “mature concepts such as greed and lust, alliances and betrayal, and intrigue and espionage” – among other elements. Better yet, the plot will stay true to Yasumi Matsuno’s previous works.

Playdek said in a recent Kickstarter update:

“We have seen some of you ask for a story that included mature concepts such as greed and lust, alliances and betrayal, and intrigue and espionage to name a few… it looks like you guys are getting exactly what you wished for from Mr. Matsuno!”

Plakdek is expected to share more information on Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians throughout the week, highlighted by a video Q&A on Thursday.

After securing enough funds for the project on Kickstarter, Nowhere Studios estimated a May 2014 launch for Monochroma’s Wii U version. But as of now, that window has shifted to September.

Studio co-founder Burak Tezateser told Nintendo Life:

It is not an official date but I’m expecting the Wii U version to be ready around September along with the PS3 version. We’ll see about it. We can’t really guess how optimization we need to make for Wii U and PS3.

Zen Studios has announced “Super League Football” for Zen Pinball 2, a new table featuring clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid C.F., A.C. Milan, Juventus Football Club, and A.S. Roma.

Below is the content’s official overview:

When players download Super League Football, they will select the club they wish to support. Their table will be themed in brilliant style, including images of the clubs biggest stars, team mascots, chants and theme songs. As games are completed, scores will tally to each club’s global leaderboard, providing an overall rank for each club in the league on a global scale on each platform. As you lead your team through league play, you will earn trophies and accolades which will be placed in their own trophy room.

Zen Studios’ official announcement didn’t include Wii U, but the company has since confirmed support for the platform. The game’s official website has it right.

Nintendo has ruled out speculation that it will be bringing “mini-games” (also categorized as demos) to smartphone devices.

Nikkei published a report yesterday indicating that Nintendo would be increasing its presence on mobile hardware. Mini-games and an increase in advertising were mentioned as two prominent ways in which the company would be pushing its products on smartphones and tablets in the future.

A new statement from Nintendo, however, indicates otherwise. It flat-out says, “we can confirm that there are no plans to offer mini-games on smartphone devices.”

You can find the statement in full after the break.
