Nintendo has opened the official teaser site for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. Access it here.
Currently, visitors can watch a quick trailer for the game’s limited edition. Expect more content when the full site launches.
Ubisoft looking at Wii U for future Splinter Cell: Blacklist patch plans

Splinter Cell: Blacklist has already been patched on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with PC updates coming in the future. Thankfully, Ubisoft isn’t leaving Wii U out of the picture.
On Twitter, the official Splinter Cell account tweeted that Wii U is also being looked at for patches. It reads:
For the record, we are also looking at the Wii U version.

GameStop is now taking pre-orders for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD GameStop Exclusive Limited Edition. You can place an order here.
There is one small yet strange detail to point out. GameStop is charging $60 for pre-orders, but Nintendo mentioned in its announcement a few days ago that the limited edition will cost $55. I wonder what the discrepancy is about…
Mighty Switch Force! 2 scheduled to hit Wii U in October

Mighty Switch Force! 2 will be hitting Wii U in October, according to WayForward. The company’s Matt Bozon just confirmed the date on Twitter through the following message:

Mighty Switch Force! 2 was first outed for Wii U thanks to a PEGI listing. Nintendo Everything received official confirmation of its existence a few weeks ago.

WayForward to launch “major” Kickstarter next week

Update: No details after all, but WayForward’s blog officially confirms that the Kickstarter will launch next Wednesday.
WayForward, developer of the Shantae and Mighty Switch Force! games, is teasing a “major” Kickstarter campaign which will be going live next week.
It’s currently unclear what the studio has planned, but a countdown on WayForward’s website indicates that the crowdfunding effort will launch in a little less than five days. Details will apparently be shared later today.
TGS 2013 sets record with exhibitors count

A whopping 342 exhibitors are attending the Tokyo Game Show next month, the CESA announced today. That’s a new record for the expo.
209 exhibitors showed up for TGS in 2012. This year’s lineup is made up of 189 Japanese companies and another 153 from western representatives.
Zelda: Twilight Princess among Peter Molyneux’s top five games

Peter Molyneux, the creator of Fable, has named his top five games. There is one Nintendo title on his list: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Molyneux told TechRadar:
“I just feel it’s jaw-dropping and its use of the hardware was brilliant. And I’ve played that game through several times.”
Molyneux’s other favorite games? World of Warcraft, Clash of Clans, Half Life 2, and Ico.

Rayman Legends may be multiplatform in the west, but it’s still a Wii U exclusive in Japan. In fact, Nintendo is handling publishing duties in the country.
