Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe graphics comparison

Nintendo announced Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe for Switch earlier today, and GameXplain has put together a graphics comparison video to show how the new version compares to the original.

Kirby’s Return to Dreamland originally appeared on Wii. For Switch, HAL Laboratory is refreshing the game’s graphics. There’ll be another new elements like the Mecha Copy Ability and Magolor’s Tome Trackers subgame.


Tales of Symphonia Remastered Chosen Edition

Following the reveal of Tales of Symphonia Remastered earlier today, we also know that a special version will be available in the form of the Chosen Edition.

Aside from the title itself, fans will be given a couple of extra goodies. An exclusive metalcase, art prints, and stickers of characters from the game are included.

Publisher ESDigital Games and developer Epic Llama have nailed down a release date for Unusual Findings, their mystery adventure and love letter to life in the ’80s. It’ll be out on October 12, 2022.

Octopath Traveler II Collector's Edition

Square Enix unveiled Octopath Traveler II today, and while it will be sold at retail, a special Collector’s Edition Set will be offered as well. It will only be sold via the company’s online store.

The package includes a copy of the game, a 44-page art album containing package art, world maps, and illustrations, mini soundtrack featuring 24 variations of Extended Battle Tracks with unique intro melodies for each of the eight protagonists, and bust set depicting the eight travelers. Keep in mind that the game won’t be packed inside the Collector’s Goods Box, but all items will ship together.

VD-Dev has announced that IronFall: Invasion, a third-person shooter that first debuted on 3DS, is coming to Switch. The game will launch in mid-2023.

The Switch version of IronFall: Invasion will feature HD visuals, though it’s unclear if there’ll be any new elements. On 3DS, the game featured both a campaign containing eleven levels as well as multiplayer that supported local and online battles.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp has still yet to ship despite Nintendo originally intending to have the game ready late last year.

The game was announced at E3 2021, and was on track for a December release. But last October, Nintendo pushed it back to Spring 2022. We then had an April date this past February, but it was then delayed in March indefinitely due to the invasion of Ukraine.

Original (9/7): Nintendo will release a special Switch OLED system for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, the company has announced. It will be available on November 4, 2022 at select stores. Pricing is set at $359.99.

The console features art inspired by the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet games. The Legendary Pokemon Koraidon and Miraidon are displayed on the glossy front side of the white system’s dock, and a design inspired by the series’ iconic Poke Ball is shown on the back. The back of the system itself is adorned with special illustrations of the three Pokémon you can choose as your first partners in the game – Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly – along with illustrations of symbols players may recognize as they journey through the games. If that wasn’t enough, the Joy-Con controllers, which match the main colors of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, feature the school emblems of the Naranja Academy and Uva Academy that appear in the respective games.

Playism has announced that Ib, a 2D exploration game, is making its way to Switch. The title is due out in Spring 2023.

Factorio

Factorio, a well-known game that previously hit PC, is now lined up for Switch as well. A release is planned for October 28, 2022.

Factorio has players building and maintaining factories as they mine resources, research technologies, build infrastructure, and automate production and fighting enemies.
