Speaking with MCV, Atlus CEO Naoto Hiraoka commented briefly on Nintendo’s upcoming console Switch. Hiraoka is keeping quiet on any specific titles that the company may have in store, but said that it’s “making for some interesting potential.

“Our participation as a publisher for the Nintendo Switch has been announced, and while we don’t have any news on that front to share, the device is making for some interesting potential,” he said.

Since last year’s announcement in April, Level-5 has only been showing bits and pieces of The Snack World. The big thing we saw during the reveal was a full-on animated preview with an eight-minute video.

The Snack World’s debuted with Yo-kai Watch the Movie 2 last December. Now Level-5 is readying another animated short that will be shown with the third Yo-kai Watch film on December 12, known as “The Snack World: Hitogirai no Lenny” (The Snack World: Lenny the Misanthrope). It features the character Lenny who has a disliking for people.

Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino is the chief director, and also wrote the original story concept and script. Motonori Sakakibara is the director while Takuz? Nagano is designing the characters. Rei Kondoh is acting as composer. The cast list includes Megumi Han as main character Chup, Ayana Taketatsu as the misanthropic dragon Lenny, and Fumiko Orikasa as Lenny’s mother Flam.

Dragon Ball Fusions debuted in North America a few days ago. Bandai Namco brought it to retail, but as always, you can opt for the digital version. Going with the latter option means you’ll need 4,730 blocks of free space (591.25 MB).

The Nintendo UK store often offers bonuses for those who pre-order games. With Dragon Quest VIII, you’ll receive a free poster by reserving early. You can place an order here.

Today, the Nintendo UK site issued a new interview with two of Animal Crossing’s primary developers. General producer Katsuya Eguchi and Animal Crossing series producer Hisashi Nogami fielded a number of questions.

The two devs weighed in on the Animal Crossing series as a whole, but more general topics as well. They were asked if they anticipated Animal Crossing becoming so popular, approach to making games, what they aim for when creating titles, and more.

We’ve picked out Eguchi and Nogami’s notable responses below.

Nintendo updated the Japanese Kirby: Planet Robobot website once again today with more art. This time, we have a look at various mechanization gimmicks.

The site also contains some talk about the soundtrack. After initially hearing the Haltmann Works Company theme, director Shinya Kumazaki gave an order to composer Hirokazu Ando to “add more weight to make it feel like an evil giant corporation”, so he made a new version. However, it might have felt a bit too “heavy” when it was redone. From there, Ando received feedback to “make it feel more like a more unknown invader” for the final result.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo is out in Europe today, and for that occasion, Nintendo has released an overview trailer that, well, gives an overview on everything that’s new in this update. Give it a watch:

Media Create reported that Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon sold 1.591 million copies in its first three days in Japan. Additional information from the sales tracker reveals that Sun sold 808,000 copies while Moon was at 783,000 units.

If you count the Double Pack which also sold 151,000 units (containing two games in each), the overall total is 1.893 million. That puts Pokemon Sun/Moon at the same scale as X/Y, which sold 1.867 million in first week without the Double Pack. Both also have the relatively same sell-through rate of about 80 percent.
