If you’re like a me who hasn’t kept up a ton with Metroid, you probably don’t know a whole lot about Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Since its unveiling, the 3DS title has remained shrouded in mystery for quite some time. Only one factor has remained a constant during its existence, which is that the game is unlike any other Metroid to date. Ditching the series’ iconic feeling of isolation and turning more towards four-player multiplayer, it attempts to reach for the stars and try something new. Therein lies the recurring problem with Federation Force, however. While the new ideas are fun, they offer equally as many bonuses as they do flaws.

Dragon Quest VII was featured during Nintendo’s live stream at Gamescom earlier today. Series producer Yuu Miyake, producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto, and assistant producer Takuma Shiraishi were all in attendance.

You can watch the full recording of the event below. Not only was gameplay shown, but the developers also fielded some questions about Dragon Quest VII.

The winners are in for this year’s Gamescom awards, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild scored the biggest win. Nintendo’s Wii U and NX game was chosen as “Best of Gamescom” as well as “Best Wii U Game”.

There were a couple of other notable winners as well. Mario Party: Star Rush took home the award for “Best Mobile Game”. Skylanders Imaginators won “Best Family Game”.

A new Pokemon Sun/Moon trailer has just come online revealed even more Pokemon for the two games. Along with Crabrawler who we heard about moments ago, the new video shows Sandygast, Palossand, and Stufful.

Here’s the trailer:

Art and details for all of today’s new Pokemon can be found below.

Turtonator was revealed as a new Pokemon in Sun/Moon at Gamescom 2016 yesterday. With the 2016 Pokemon World Championships kicking off today, we now have a look at yet another creature: Crabrawler.

The Pokemon Company has shared the following about Crabrawler:

Crabrawler has a personality that really hates to lose, and it’s driven not only to aim for a higher position than its fellows in terms of social standing, but literally to aim for a higher position in the landscape. Perhaps as a result, it’s sometimes found clinging to tall people or to the walls of buildings! If you try to remove one against its will, you’ll be met with a sound punch.

Crabrawler’s favorite food is Berries. It punches the trunks of trees to give the branches a good shake and knock any ripe Berries to the ground so it can feast! Many Crabrawler may gather around a tree, but only the one that emerges victorious in battle against all the others receives the privilege of eating the ripe Berries.

Crabrawler uses its claws to protect its face and belly while getting in close to an opponent to throw punches. Its punches are powerful enough to split tree trunks! Crabrawler’s pincers are sometimes torn off during its bouts—and they are said to be delicious.

Nintendo posted a trailer for the just-launched Metroid Prime: Federation Force to its YouTube page. We have it below.

GameXplain has uploaded the final boss and ending for Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Just to be extra safe, we’ve posted the video past the break. The very last scene in particular may be worth watching if you’re interested in Metroid – though it goes without saying there are spoilers involved.

The Obon holiday period took place in Japan last week. During that time, several Nintendo titles were boosted on the sales charts.

Yo-kai Watch 3 sold 93,000 copies for both versions between August 8 and August 14, up 144.65 percent from the previous week. It has also now managed to surpass one million copies sold. Yo-kai Watch 3 is the first title from 2016 to reach that mark.

Also due to demand during Obon, mainstay Nintendo titles experienced increased sales. For example, Kirby: Planet Robobot sold 15,000 copies. That’s a 130.40 percent jump from the previous week.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Olympics gave a boost to Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Across Wii U and 3DS, combined sales were at 18,000 copies. They sold 1.5 times more than last week.
