At Variety’s Entertainment and Technology Summit, Nintendo of America’s president Reggie Fils-Aime offered a brief overview regarding the company’s plans for 2018.

Reggie touched on all of the key points you would expect. Nintendo will still be looking to drive its Switch business with “a number of great games”. Reggie also stressed how increasing the system’s install base will create opportunities for third-parties.

New Zelda: Breath of the Wild amiibo 4-pack up on Amazon Germany, ships to the US

Amazon Germany has started taking pre-orders for the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild amiibo, and they do ship to the US. You can order the set here.

Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa are included in the 4-pack. Nintendo will begin selling the latest amiibo on November 10.

Amazon Germany began taking pre-orders for other new Nintendo products yesterday as well. The European Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Collector’s Edition, Poke Ball New 2DS XL, and more are up here.

My Nintendo Europe adds a trio of NES 3DS themes, wallpaper

Update: You can also grab the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super NES wallpaper for 50 Platinum Points.

Original: Over in Europe, My Nintendo members can use their points to grab three 3DS themes. Themes based on Mario, Link, and Pit are available for 200 Platinum Points each.

Nintendo’s FY 2017 Six Months Earnings Release set for October 30

Our next update on Nintendo’s financial situation isn’t too far off. The company updated its fiscal calendar today, confirming that the Six Months Earnings Release will be posted on October 30. You can expect to hear more about how Switch is doing, the latest on 3DS sales, and more. A briefing should also be taking place around the same time.

Meowth gets the Build-A-Bear treatment

A number of Pokemon plushies have been offered at Build-A-Bear over the past couple of years. The store has previously offered Pikachu, Eevee, Charmander, and Squirtle. The latest one? Meowth.

Fans can purchase Meowth at Build-A-Bear starting today. For the $60 online bundle, you’ll receive the plush, a sound chip, and two costumes. A $28 Meowth and one outfit by themselves will also be sold in stores.

Note that the Team Rocket hoodie won’t be sold in stores at any point. A Quick Ball-styled hoodie will be sold at retail outlets for $12.50 both online and at the physical Workshop locations.

Nicalis celebrates 10th anniversary, “very cool announcements” teased for the future

Nicalis is celebrating its 10th anniversary as an independent games publisher and developer. In honor of the occasion, a new logo and 10th anniversary branding has been revealed, which will lead into “a series of special events and promotions that will continue the celebration into 2018.”

At BICFest 2017, the annual global independent games conference in South Korea this week, Nicalis will be acting as a platinum sponsor of the expo. Many of the company’s games will be present at a designated “Nicalis Zone.” The new Nicalis logo will also be shown in public for the first time here.

SNES Classic Edition will ship into 2018, NES Classic Edition will return to stores in all regions

Nintendo has just announced that “due to the incredible demand” for the system, the SNES Classic Edition will ship into 2018, instead of ending shipments this year, as was originally announced. Nintendo also reiterated that more SNES Classic Editions will be available on its launch day, September 29th, than there were shipped of the NES Classic Edition all last year.

Speaking of – Nintendo also announced that it has resumed production of the NES Classic Edition, which will be available in stores again in 2018. Nintendo has made similar announcements for Japan and Europe, so there should be plenty of both systems available all around the world next year.
