General Nintendo

Nintendo has again commented on AI with the latest remarks coming from Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser.

The tech is being used more and more with each passing day, including in the gaming industry for development. However, it doesn’t appear that we’ll be seeing Nintendo making great use of it while working on projects anytime soon.

A neat little Nintendo development tidbit was tucked away inside the company’s Switch 2 interview published this week, which concerns controllers.

Technical director Tetsuya Sasaki was speaking about the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and how it was designed from scratch. The team put in a lot of work to make sure that “the left and right control sticks are quieter and don’t make noise, even when they’re moved quickly to the edge.” Also mentioned that given how smooth they glide, Nintendo calls them “smooth-gliding sticks.”

Nintendo Museum Switch 2

It took less than a week, but Switch 2 is already on display at the Nintendo Museum.

The console is not available to play, as expected. However, Nintendo set up a case to show off the new system. Visitors can get a look at the new system itself, the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, new camera, console packaging, and boxart.

Four new amiibo for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are confirmed to be in production with the lineup adding
Tulin, Yunobo, Sidon, and Riju. The set is due out on June 5, 2025.

In addition to the above, a Mineru’s Construct amiibo is in the pipeline. It will be coming later – no release date was provided.

Zelda movie trilogy

Production List, a film and television production tracking service offered by the Film & Television Industry Alliance, may have provided the first details about the upcoming movie for The Legend of Zelda.

The site claims that filming will be done between November 2025 and April 2026 in New Zealand. It offers a synopsis as well, which mentions Link going on a journey to protect Hyrule from Ganon. Similar to the games, Ganon is seeking the Triforce.

You can find the full description shared by Production List below. We would advise taking it with a grain of salt for the time being, however.

Legend of Zelda movie release date

Nintendo just revealed the release date for its live action movie based on The Legend of Zelda. The film debuts on March 26, 2027.

That news comes straight from Nintendo itself. In the company’s news-launched Nintendo Today app, brief a video was posted with the release date. It does not provide any other information such as casting details.

Triple-i Initiative 2025

March 11: The Triple-i Initiative showcase has been announced for a second straight year, with the 2025 event happening soon. A specific date will be provided later.

The upcoming showcase will feature world premieres, gameplay reveals, and other surprises. There’ll be news from both established names and newcomers.

Nintendo Sound Clock Alarmo update 3.0.0

A new version 3.0.0 update is now going out for Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo.

A few new features are included with the patch such as the ability to set separate alarm times and modes for each day of the week, preview alarms, and more. Additionally, as we usually see, Nintendo says there are some stability improvements.

The full rundown is as follows:

You could make the case that Monolith Soft is one of Nintendo’s most important studios at the moment. Aside from developing different entries in the acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles series, the company has worked directly on high-profile first-party games. Monolith Soft has contributed to Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, all of the Splatoon games, and more.

Yet despite its incredible track record, Monolith Soft strives for more. Hirohide Sugiura, the company’s co-founder and representative director, has mentioned that the company will never be satisfied with the status quo and will always aim for higher quality.

most useful amiibo

With confirmation that the Nintendo Switch 2 is backwards compatible with Switch software, it’s safe to assume that includes amiibo – and if that’s true, then it’s also safe to assume that Nintendo’s signature lineup of toys-to-life figurines isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. That being said, there are hundreds of amiibo figures to choose from, and that’s not even including amiibo cards. So today, we’re analyzing which specific figures are the most useful across many Nintendo games. And although we did look at eight of the most useless amiibo almost a year ago, we’ll also be determining the definitive most useless amiibo today.
