General Nintendo

The latest episode of Nintendo’s Japanese show Nyannyan Neko Mario Time has now gone live. We’ve included it below.

Update: The exact terminology Nintendo uses is that the Treehouse stream starts at “about” 9:30 PM PT. Again, we don’t think that leaves much leeway for a video much more than 30 minutes, but perhaps it’ll go slightly over.

Original: We’ve heard hints that the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 presentation would be at least a half hour long. It actually looks like it’ll be pretty much 30 minutes on the spot.

With Nintendo elaborating a bit more on its E3 plans today, the company said that Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3 begins at 9:30 AM PT / 12:30 PM ET next Tuesday (10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Wednesday and Thursday). We also know that Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 will begin at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. That doesn’t really much room for the presentation to be more than a half hour long.

Update: Rather than photos of the actual Super Nintendo World, what we may have here instead is a stage of sorts being prepared for an upcoming event. One of the photos also appears to have the word “Grand” hidden in the back. In any case, these might not be construction photos.

Original: It was assumed that construction on Super Nintendo World was just starting a little over a month ago. That’s now official, with the first true photos emerging today. It’s obviously very early on, but construction images show Warp Pipes and Piranha Plants plus brick walls.

Thanks to the bunch of you that sent this in.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia makes full use of voice acting. It’s true that past entries have had voice over before, but with the 3DS remake, characters are entirely voiced. This may not be a one time thing, as Intelligent Systems director Toshiyuki Kusakihara has expressed interest in bringing it back in the future.

Italian site Multiplayer.it asked Kusakihara if the full voice acting will return in the future. To that, he did in fact say that he hopes to bring it back in future releases.

At Wonder Festival earlier this year, several Nintendo-related figures were announced and showcased. Among these was a new Nendoroid of Lillie from Pokemon Sun/Moon.

At the time, we only had a general image of what the figure would look like. Now, however, we have an actual photo. Our first look at the Lillie Nendoroid is pictured above. It arrives in November.

Minecraft: Story Mode wrapped up last year. The eighth, final episode was originally distributed back in September. However, it now looks like Telltale Game is returning to the series.

A rating for a second season of Minecraft: Story Mode has popped up in Australia. The first episode has been classified specifically, which is known as “Hero in Residence”.

We’re reporting on this with some hesitation. Minecraft: Story Mode did originally come to Wii U, and it’s also landing on Switch in the very near future. Telltale’s output on Nintendo platforms can be unpredictable though as the recently-released Guardians of the Galaxy did not end up on Switch (at least not yet). That being said, Minecraft: Story Mode Season Two probably has a decent shot of coming to Nintendo’s new console.
