Nintendo recently invited select members of the media and other outlets to go hands-on with Super Mario Odyssey this week. With the Nintendo Direct taking place today, we’ll likely be seeing new previews around the time the presentation ends.

A couple of images have popped up early. Both seem to show the Seaside Kingdom, based on the collectible coins shown. We have the two photos below.

This week’s Famitsu scans are now available. Highlights include Ise-Shima Mystery Guide: The False Black Pearl and Metroid: Samus Returns. Scans of both games are below.

This new cover of NBA 2K18 will be released at “a later date.” We’ll keep you posted on the situation going forward.

Over the years, we’ve sometimes seen that the boxarts for the Layton games have seen different designs in North America and Europe. That won’t be the case with Layton’s Mystery Journey, however.

Thanks to GameFly, we have the North American packaging for Layton’s Mystery Journey, attached above. You’ll notice that the design matches what Level-5 is planning for Europe.

Below is the European Layton’s Mystery Journey boxart for comparison:

Update (9/9): Following European pricing, we have official confirmation that L.A. Noire is $10 more on Switch. GameStop shows it’s $50 for the Switch version. It’ll be $40 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Original (9/7): Rockstar Games made a notable announcement today, revealing L.A. Noire for new platforms, including Switch. Now we have the game’s boxart above. It’s technically the European version, but the US version will simply swap out the the PEGI rating for the ESRB version.

We also have an update on pricing. On Switch, L.A. Noire will cost €49.99 / £44.99. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are €39.99 / £34.99. We don’t have US pricing yet, but $49.99 is likely a safe bet.

L.A. Noire will be another instance in which a Switch game costs $10 more at retail compared to other platforms. Nintendo has never commented on the situation officially, but the cost of producing cartridges is likely a factor.

The next entry in Nintendo’s series of Super NES Classic Edition interviews is dedicated to F-Zero. Developers were brought in to discuss the original game.

Although we’ll probably need to wait until next week or so for Nintendo’s English translation, the current Japanese version already has some goodies. It provides a look at some brand new art and design docs created many years ago. View the various images below.
