Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival modes

Bandai Namco has come out with a new Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival trailer introducing the different modes. Highlights include the original Taiko Mode, a new Concierge Mode, party games in Taiko Land, Great Drum Toy War mode.

Soulvars

Shueisha Games and Ginolabo announced Soulvars for consoles earlier this year, but we now have specific confirmation that it’s on the way to Switch. A release window has not yet been provided.

Soulvars is a deckbuilding RPG that was first made available on mobile. For the console edition, players can look forward to an updated layout and interface plus an improved tutorial and localization.

Pompom: The Great Space Rescue demo

PID Games and Tomo Camp have announced that a demo for Pompom is now live on the Switch eShop. Currently, however, it is only available in Europe.

Jack Move release date

Jack Move, the cyberpunk-themed Japanese style RPG from HypeTrain Digital and So Romantic, now has a release date. Switch will be getting the game on September 20, 2022.

Jack Move was first announced for Switch in 2020. It was originally planned for release in early 2021.

A Short Hike physical

Super Rare Games is gearing up for a physical release of A Short Hike on Switch, the company announced today.

With the standard edition, buyers will receive all the current content on its cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an A5 pocket-style mini-map, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards. There’ll also be a collector’s edition featuring a 46-page retro style guidebook of Hawk Peak, four sticker sheets of the Flora and Fauna found on Hawk Peak, a poster-size retro style fold-out map of Hawk Peak, all held together by a Short Hike Belly Band plus a Claire pin badge, three postcards and the soundtrack composed by Mark Sparling. The standard edition will have 4,500 copies while the collector’s edition will be limited to 1,500 units.

For the latest JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R character trailer, Bandai Namco is highlighting Kosaku Kawajiri. He uses his Stand and its powerful ability he’s gained, Bites the Dust, in battle.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac graphics comparison trailer

Original (8/5): Bandai Namco has created an official graphics comparison trailer for Pac-Man World Re-Pac.

The original game launched for the PlayStation in 1999, and needless to say that technology has evolved since then. Bandai Namco has gone back to the drawing board and reworked the visuals in many different ways, including the character models, environments, and textures.

Undertale Undyne Nendoroid

Good Smile is starting to wrap up production on the Undertale Undyne Nendoroid after it was first revealed earlier in the year, and has now shared more information about the figure – including when it’ll be released, what the final design looks like, and pre-orders.

Undyne has two interchangeable face plates – a standard face and a laughing face. Additionally, as optional parts, fans can equip it with the harpoon and fish-shaped mug. Good Smile suggests that fans can create the game’s memorable water-drinking scene in Nendoroid form and says the character “is looking brave, cool, and even a little cute”.

The NPD report for July 2022 has confirmed that Switch again led monthly video game console sales in the United States when it comes to units. Additionally, the same fact applies to the overall year so far.

Switch was the leader for unit sales, but PlayStation 5 was the leader for the actual dollar amount when it comes to July and 2022 as a whole. It’s worth noting that Sony’s system is more expensive than Switch as the digital version is priced at $400 followed by the standard model at $500.
