Dodgeball Academia physical

Dodgeball Academia is receiving a physical release on Switch, publisher Humble Games and developer Pocket Trap have confirmed.

The sports RPG made it to Switch last year. However, it was only offered as an eShop download at launch. This is the first time that a physical version will be offered.

Inua A Story in Ice and Time

Switch will soon be adding a new narrative adventure title to its lineup, as Inua: A Story in Ice and Time has now popped up on the eShop. According to its eShop listing, we’ll be seeing it on February 10.

Inua: A Story in Ice and Time, which takes place in the Canadian far north, features a number of different time periods and is actually based on the real story of Franklin Expedition, a British mission in the 19th century set to explore the then unknown Arctic. The game stars Taïna, Peter, and Simon. Despite coming from various parts of history, their destinies are intertwined with the great polar bear Nanurluk.

Pronty: Fishy Adventure

The Metroidvania game Pronty: Fishy Adventure will be released on Switch, publisher Joy Brick and developer 18Light Game have announced. A release is set for Q1 2022.

You’ll play as Pronty, “a genetically modified creature that combines both aquatic creature and human traits”. The ultimate goal is to defend the fallen Royla, City of the Deep, and unravel various mysteries. It’s all presented in a “colorful, clean line art style to depict the mysterious underwater world”.

Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64 are both at this moment available to play on Switch via Nintendo’s online service. It’s great to see those two together considering how important they were for early 3D gaming. I decided to revisit them recently and I was impressed by how well they still hold up.

In today’s video, I talk about the different ideas that Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64 brought to the industry, how they understood the best ways to bring the full potential of 3D environments, and also how they failed in some aspects due to how early ideas and the technology were at the time. Rivals of Aether Workshop Creator Pack

It’s been almost a year since Rivals of Aether unveiled its Workshop Creator Pack. But today, it was announced that Switch just received the free DLC. It’s accessible right now as a free patch.

Mollo, Hodan, Pomme, and Olympia are included in the update. Each one has new stages, music, and Abyss Runes. More information about the characters can be found below.

Phantom Breaker Omnia Ria

The latest trailer for Phantom Breaker: Omnia has gone live from Rocket Panda Games and Mages with the two sides now showing off Ria. Caitlin Glass is behind the character in English and Ryōko Shiraishi is doing the Japanese version.

A pretty notable update has gone live today for the Switch version of Curious Expedition 2. It includes a new mode, improvements, and more.

mlb the show 22 Switch

MLB The Show 22 is coming to Switch, Sony just announced. It will release on April 5, 2022.

It was announced at the end of 2019 that MLB The Show would no longer be PlayStation-exclusive. While it did have an Xbox version last year, it still wasn’t on Switch. That’s changing for 2022 though and it will be the series’ first appearance ever on a Nintendo platform.

Heroes of Loot 2

Orangepixel has announced that the dungeon-crawler Heroes of Loot 2 will debut on Switch later this week. The game is set to arrive on February 8, it’s been confirmed.

Koei Tecmo reported its financial results for the third quarter ending March 2022 today, and revealed sales of a few different games.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, which launched last October, has sold 340,000 copies worldwide across all platforms and regions. Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires moved 150,000 copies in Japan and Asia following its initial release at the end of December – the game’s western release will follow next month. Finally, Blue Reflection: Second Light, which released worldwide last October, sold 120,000 copies worldwide.
