Quartet Switch

Something Classic, the developer of the Switch title Shadows of Adam, launched a Kickstarter campaign a few weeks ago for its next project Quartet. It went well as the team raised around $50,000. During the campaign, a Switch stretch goal was also reached.

Quartet is a turn-based RPG. The game begins with four separate chapters that can be played in any order. In each one, players will encounter eight unlikely heroes – with their own spells and abilities – and see how their stories merge. It’s possible to send out four characters at any time in battle, with the ability to instantly swap the other four characters in.

Here’s an introduction to the game’s story:

Listings on the eShops provide file sizes for a bunch of Switch games. These include Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, Tunche, A Boy and His Blob, Happy Game, more.

switch jrpg

With each passing year the Switch is receiving more and more JRPGs, and it seems like Nintendo created the perfect ecosystem for this genre as the system has attracted many noteworthy developers. Not only have the big names gotten involved, but also many of the smaller ones.

In today’s video, I decided to take a look at the JRPG library on Switch, reflecting on how many games from this specific niche are available on the console. We go over some of the staple names such as Nintendo of course, as well as Square Enix and Bandai Namco with titles including Pokemon, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Final Fantasy. We also take a bit of time to highlight the likes of Koei Tecmo, NIS America, and Marvelous. You can watch the video in full below.

Feel free to leave a comment about your favorite JRPG or scold me if I forgot an important one as there are a ton of different games out there for Switch. You can also check out some of our other recent videos – we went over everything you need to know about Mario Party Superstars here and 5 Nintendo franchises that are still currently missing on Switch here.

Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for September 2021.

The month was relatively quiet for major sales news, but a number of games did make their debuts, including Diablo II: Resurrected. Games not in the top twenty include Hot Wheels Unleashed (No.26), Sonic Colors: Ultimate (No.30), and Warioware: Get It Together (No.32).
