Switch OLED model announced, launches in October

Following up on plenty of speculation, Nintendo has just announced a brand new Switch OLED model. It will launch on October 8. Pricing is set at $349.99.
The Switch OLED features a 7-inch OLED screen, a wide adjustable stand, and more. We have further information and a trailer below.

Koei Tecmo and Gust have issued the first trailer for Blue Reflection: Second Light, which was first announced earlier this year. Watch it below.
Blue Reflection: Second Light launches on October 21 in Japan. It’s planned for the west as well, though we’re waiting on a release date in North America and Europe.

Fire Emblem Heroes update out now (version 5.7.0), patch notes

Fire Emblem Heroes has been updated on both iOS and Android. Version 5.7.0 is now available.
Highlights of the update include a team skill lock feature, new skills for some Legendary Heroes, updated lineup of Limited-Time Combat Manuals, and new weapon skills/weapons to refine. We have the full patch notes below.
Switch version 12.1.0 includes an update for the Joy-Con

As part of Switch version 12.1.0, it turns out that the Joy-Con can also be updated.
This can be done by accessing the system settings. Go to the “Controllers and Settings” tab and scroll down to “Update Controllers”. Joy-Con that are connected should then be updated. Unfortunately, Nintendo has never made it clear what the process actually does.

Switch update out now (version 12.1.0)

Nintendo has released a new firmware update for Switch. As of today, all users can access version 12.1.0.
Once installed, it will be possible to delete old data for a piece of software when trying to update if you don’t have enough space available. It also includes stability improvements.
