NASCAR games have been pretty much absent from Nintendo consoles over the past couple of generations, but that’s about to change. Motorsport Games has confirmed that it will be putting its first title on Switch sometime in 2021.

Motorsport Games Dmitry Kozko teased in an interview with Motorsport.com:

Pokken Tournament DX

After a stint in arcades, Pokken Tournament was brought over to Wii U. Nintendo and Bandai Namco later created an upgraded “DX” version for Switch. There’s no word on a sequel currently, but that doesn’t mean such an idea is off the table.

Bandai Namco actually seems rather open to working with Pokken Tournament again. Katsuhiro Harada, who was a producer on the game, expressed interest in developing a follow-up when asked by a fan about making a sequel. However, Harada indicated that it’d be up to Nintendo and The Pokemon Company to move forward with a new entry.

Takahisa Taura was given his first shot at directing a game with Astral Chain. He had worked as a designer for a full decade prior, but that wasn’t enough to offset a bit of the uneasiness he felt.

Taura spoke about the distress he experienced while developing Astral Chain in a previous issue of Famitsu, which also featured supervisor Hideki Kamiya from PlatinumGames and Yoko Taro from Square Enix. It was Kamiya who ended up guiding him through while the team was “trying to nail down the action mechanics.”

Nintendo has updated its maintenance schedule for the coming week, with more downtime planned. Aside from a session for the Switch eShop, Nintendo Switch Online save data will be briefly impacted, and another period is lined up a few days from now involving network services.

Here’s the full schedule:

Hollow Knight: Silksong

There’s no doubt that if you played the original Hollow Knight, you’ll be interested in Hollow Knight: Silksong. However, Team Cherry is hoping to grab new players as well.

The studio told EDGE this month that Silksong is intended to test players in a “comparable” way to the first game. At the same time, co-director Ari Gibson mentioned that the new title, with its own lore and characters, is intended to be “a perfect jumping on-point for new players.”
