Modus Games acquires The Balance Inc., Override: Mech City Brawl announced for Switch

Publisher Modus Games has announced that it has acquired The Balance Inc., the Brazilian studio behind the robot-fueled multiplayer brawler Override: Mech City Brawl. Going forward, the team will be known as Modus Studios Brazil.
It’s also been revealed that Override: Mech City Brawl is coming to Switch. Modus is preparing for a fall release on Nintendo’s console, with more details following in the coming weeks.

The Sinking City shows off first Switch gameplay, release date coming next week

The Sinking City was announced for Switch at E3 2019 back in June. Frogwares has now provided an update, including first footage of the game running on the console.
Rather than opting for a straight port, the team included some new functionality and “worked on multiple improvements and tweaks based on player feedback.” Producer Serge Chervonnyi said of the Switch version:

Sonic the Hedgehog comic series writer reveals his Super Mario Bros. pitch

Ian Flynn is best known for his work on the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. At one point though, he was also now hoping to be involved with another big franchise: Mario.
On Twitter, Flynn revealed his pitch for a new Super Mario Bros. comic. He says that it was “well received” at Nintendo of America, but “stalled out” at the company’s Japanese headquarters.

Dragon Quest XI S demo update out now (version 1.0.1)

Square Enix has released a new update for the Dragon Quest XI S demo. Players can now access version 1.0.1.
With today’s update, Square Enix is looking to address errors and crashing that were originally reported. If players continue to experience issues, more updates should follow.
