Switch pre-orders from Gameseek come with a special certificate

UK-based retailer Gameseek got quite a bit of attention in the last couple of months for having sold the Nintendo Switch at what will likely remain the lowest price for quite some time. After the console’s initial announcement, Gameseek was selling pre-orders of the Switch for only £198.50, which ended up being far cheaper than the system’s final retail price announced in January. Nonetheless, Gameseek decided to honor the orders of everyone who pre-ordered at that price.
Today, people all over the world are receiving their Switch orders, and Gameseek decided to add in a little something extra – a certificate for “being part of the historic event and securing a Nintendo Switch in Gameseek’s £80 lower than RRP (£279.99) offer.”

Nintendo opened up a Legend of Zelda and a Mario portal on its Japanese website
Posted on 8 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in General Nintendo, News | 1 Comment
There are two really interesting new additions to Nintendo’s Japanese website: a Legend of Zelda portal and a Mario portal.
You can learn more about each series’ characters and games there. The Legend of Zelda portal is especially interesting since it also features behind-the-scenes info like artwork and production notes (though that section is a bit bare at the moment). There’s also a section that’s not available yet called “Keywords”, marked as “coming soon”. You will likely be able to find infos about recurring themes and names from the Legend of Zelda series there, like the Triforce or the Master Sword.

With all the new weapons, maps, songs etc being added to Splatoon 2, it’s probably not the biggest surprise that we’ll be getting some new clothing brands as well. The Japanese Splatoon Twitter account has now officially revealed the first one – “Emperi” (or possibly “Empery”). It’s described as a casual, sporty street fashion brand and judging by the screenshot above, it certainly fits that image.

Posted on 8 years ago by Jake in News | 3 Comments
Fire Emblem Heroes is hosting a large-scale event, featuring eight prominent characters: Alfonse, Sharena, Ephraim, Eirika, Chrom, Lucina, Leo, and Elise.
The event will take place over 3 rounds, each lasting 45 hours. These rounds are will start on March 7th, 9th, and 11th. Players will choose which hero to support before participating, and can only change their team if their team gets knocked out.
Battles will be 3 vs. 3, where your team is composed of your main team’s leader, a friend’s main team leader, and another person from the same army. After battling, you will have to wait a while before battling again.
If you win, you will be able to cast votes for your team. You can earn more votes by having more friends (up to 10), get a voting bonus if your leader is the Hero you support, and can multiply your votes by spending Battle Flags. Battle Flags are earned by logging in and completing special Quests.
Once the event is over, you will earn rewards based on your victories, rank, and total rank. All players will earn rewards based on how many votes were cast. Those rewards are as follows:
- 1 billion votes cast – 3 Orbs, 1 of each Great Badge
- 3 billion votes cast – 5 Orbs, 3 of each Great Badge
- 5 billion votes cast – 10 Orbs, 5 of each Great Badge
Start thinking about who you will support, and check out some screenshots of the event below.
