Nintendo Teams up with Celebrity Trainer Kathy Kaehler for the “Wii Fit U Challenge”
REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– It’s a new year. Why not start it off with a new “U”? On Jan. 10, the retail version of Wii Fit U for Wii U hits stores, just in time to help people get started on their New Year’s resolutions to be more active and get fit. But Wii Fit U doesn’t require heavy equipment or expensive gym memberships. With Wii Fit U, users can get active by navigating a luge course, spraying a water hose, bouncing on a giant trampoline and even grabbing the new Fit Meter to continue their workouts on the go. Fitness doesn’t get any more fun than this.
“Wii Fit U makes fitness fun. It’s as simple as that,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Wii Fit U is a great option for busy moms and families who want to stay active in the comfort of their own homes – which is perfect during the cold winter months.”

Imageepoch has a new strategy RPG in the works, president Ryohei Mikage has confirmed. Mikage told 4Gamer that the game will tie into the company’s 10th anniversary and will be an “original” title.
Mikage’s comments in full:
“On January 30, 2014, we’ll be releasing Toshin Toshi for Nintendo 3DS. After that, we’ll continue by releasing SoniPro for 3DS, and we also expect to reveal a brand new ‘original SRPG’ as part of Imageepoch’s 10 year anniversary.”
“The original RPG, Luminous Arc, was Imageepoch’s development debut title. We’re just about to hit the turning point of the company’s 10-year anniversary, so we’d like to look back to our roots, and we’re in the middle of zealously developing a high quality SRPG title to offer you guys. Please look forward to Toshin Toshi, SoniPro, and the new original SRPG!”

Kadokawa director ponders Wii U’s chances for future success
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 9 Comments
Kadokawa director Hirokazu Hamamura, who is also Enterbrain president and former editor-in-chief of Famitsu, commented on Wii U’s chances to be resurrected in an interview with Mainichi Shinbun.
Hamamura noted that Nintendo may have a shot to turn things around with “killer content”. He did, however, explain that producing many games for both Wii U and 3DS is a difficult task.
Hamamura’s comments in full:
Associating the growth of smartphones and the slump of the Wii U is difficult. Two years ago the handheld 3DS was called a failure, and then it bounced back. Of course they are in competition to keep a hold on the users’ time. It can be boosted if killer content is released. However developing a lot of games for both the Wii U and the 3DS is difficult… That’s a fact.

Happy New Year!
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Site updates | 13 Comments
Happy New Year! 2014 is certainly a year to be excited for in the world of Nintendo, as new games such as Super Smash Bros., X, Mario Kart 8, and more are on the horizon.
As far as what lies ahead for Nintendo Everything… well, there’s plenty! We finally launched a new and proper design for the site on our sixth anniversary a few months ago, and we continue to tinker away at new feature additions and small visual changes, which we’ll hopefully have news on soon.
In 2014, I’m also going to try and emphasize video content a bit more. I’ve had one particular idea in my head – for at least a year, if not two – that I’ve been dying to try, but timing and other factors have made it difficult for me to pursue previously. I’ll be looking to change that this year. Along with my new idea (that’s all you’ll get out of me on that for now!), I’ll be continuing with Random Thoughts and we’ll possibly introduce a couple of additional things as well.
Aside from videos, you can expect other regular updates from us – tons of additional news, more features, more reviews, and more podcasts (thanks Austin, Jack, and Laura!).
Finally, I’ve been meaning to bring up one more site-related topic before moving on. I admittedly do a terrible job at promoting, so you may be unaware of things like our YouTube and Facebook pages. Did you also know that we have a sister site that covers everything gaming? Don’t forget about our forum as well!
Now it’s time to get mushy!
Although Nintendo Everything is ultimately a “blog”, I tend to leave any and all personal updates aside (including mushy stuff like this) so that content can take the spotlight here. At the end of the day, that’s what you guys care about! Still, I hope you all know how much I truly appreciate each and every one one of you. I appreciate the comments you all bring. I appreciate all feedback we receive – both good and bad. I also appreciate some of the very neat people I’ve met “virtually” through the site – especially on the forum and comments section. Wait… this is starting to sound like Thanksgiving with me sharing what I’m thankful for! Haha.
If you ever have any comments, questions, or concerns, you can always feel free to send an email, a message on the forum, or a tweet. Frankly, I’d love to hear from all of you! Is there anything you’re not satisfied with on Nintendo Everything? Annoying ad causing problems? Have an idea for something you’d like to see on the site? What do you want to see here in the future? Just let me know. I welcome all kinds of feedback.
With that, Happy 2014! Let’s make this year a good one!
