3DS eShop

We know that Wii U will be adding three Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games on the North American eShop tomorrow, but thankfully, the 3DS won’t be left out of the Virtual Console fun. Specifically on New 3DS, Capcom is bringing out Super Ghouls’n Ghosts.

Here’s an overview:

“The third game in the legendary Ghosts ‘n Goblins series of video games, Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts follows Arthur in another quest to rescue the princess, his fair maiden and damsel in distress at large. Players take control of Arthur and defeat the creatures of the night to save the day once more. Discover what glory awaits those brave enough to take on the armies of Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts.”

Super Ghouls’n Ghosts will cost $7.99 when it arrives on the New 3DS Virtual Console tomorrow.

It was already clear that Unholy Heights would be launching on the European 3DS eShop tomorrow thanks to the weekly Nintendo Download PR. However, we now have confirmation that the game will be out in North America at the same time. It’ll cost $6.00 / €5.99.

Unholy Heights offers tower defense gameplay along with demon monster apartment management. Players assume the role of the Devil “who creates an apartment for monsters to defend against pillaging wannabe heroes”.

Here’s some additional information:

In this creative Tower Defence game you sucker monsters to live in your apartment building by buying them furniture according to their needs. Once they are in your apartment, have them breed stronger offspring, charge them rent or KICK THEM OUT! Your army is the only thing in the way of you and the sickeningly sweet good folk who try and erase the monsters presence.

We previously mentioned that a launch stream was held for Mighty No. 9 today. Creator Keiji Inafune was naturally in attendance, as was translator Ben Judd.

Kotaku has since picked out a few notable quotes from the stream. One of the big takeaways was Inafune essentially taking responsibility for any problems associated with the game while also commenting on topics like the Kickstarter budget, the difficulty in making a ton of versions at once, and more.

Head past the break for a recap of Inafune’s comments. Note that Judd mixed in the translations with some of his own commentary, which Kotaku tries to point out.

Deep Silver has readied its own launch trailer for Mighty No. 9 in North America and Europe. You can find it below.

Protect Me Knight 2 originally came out in Japan as a 3DS eShop game in 2014. Ancient confirmed the game’s localization towards the end of last year, though there hasn’t been too much news since.

The second volume of the official soundtrack did recently come out, revealing a new English name: Gotta Protectors. Ancient has since confirmed that this is officially the new English title. Now we just need to know when the game itself will be available outside of Japan!
